$95 for a t-shirt

$145 for a hoody

And this is the fanatics house shit that super low quality crap.

Nevermind their Lululemon partnership

Absolute insanity, something has to give.

Browsing the Fanatics NHL shop is like browsing at the Armani outlets.

Yet people are still buying this overpriced garbage.

That’s insane, but to be fair, most of the fanatics branded team t-shirts are closer to $30-40 and yet they are still overpriced garbage for most part.

I use alternate sites like eBay/sideline swap for most merch and avoid fanatics branded stuff.

And go with brands I trust, I like CCM’s NHL merch. New era for hats, etc. and wait for deals or sales

1% of the US population controls 31% of the wealth, and they use that power to take even more from the bottom 50%, who only hold 2.6% of US wealth.

Glad we’ve forced the rest of the world into our f***ed game.

Limiting your customer base to 1% of the population is a bold strategy. This might work for Balenciaga but probably not the National Hockey League.

I think team logo merch is pretty dumb even when it’s affordable, though. Your clothes don’t also need to be a billboard, especially not one you get no residuals for.

I know nothing about the quality, but reading above, seems not good. However, what is posted is "made in Canada" so you are paying way more $$$ the factory workers vs. where a lot of other clothing is made. If I compare to a Nike tech hoodie for example though, price doesn't seem that crazy.

It doesn’t help that Fanatics is synonymous with ass product.
Yeah, I am curious though to see their MIC products. I absolutely hated their previous lower end jerseys though. When the NHL switched to Adidas it became pretty much impossible to get your hands on MIC jersey's which have always been the highest quality but also the most expensive.

And people think NHL has not massively risen post-COVID, lol. The salary cap will be way higher in a few years, pricing of everything at games, merch, gambling revenues, sports TV deals, sponsorships is all out of control.

I made a deal to acquire a signed Ovi jersey.

It was "authenticated" by Fanatics.

Turns out those lazy f***ers only did like a small quarter to authenticate their stuff online.

I told them off hard about how unprofessional they were and everything.

Like 2, or 3 weeks later they did a much better job ensuring things were legit.

My jersey just said "Alexander Ovechkin" and didn't say if it was signed, or unsigned.

They did that with a lot of products and I contacted various people on ebay for help before finally being assured it was legit.

Do you just wear plain tshirts then or what?
It’s called supporting something you like.

Those prices are ridiculous tho. Go to a show now even a tshirt that used to be $20 is now selling for like $50
