Player Discussion Fabian Lysell

Guy feels like another linus omark or that danish guy..dutch guy? Some guy that wasnt good but was fast and could shoot. Sprong. Dutch guy. Hope he can figure it out bruins need some guys that are good

Watched him both games this weekend - good passer makes plays solid skater.

I like him what’s going on

I guess the Bruins are kinda sorta still in a fake playoff spot but I’d call him up stick him at RW with 18 & 88 and see how he plays with skill & vets

Drop Geekie to Mittlestadt and see if you have something

You want to move Pasta to left wing?

I would think Lysell would be on a line with Lindholm.

Him having a pretty awful season down there certainly isn't putting any pressure on them to call him up

Is it really awful? He's 5th on Providence in points. Sure his production is down from last season where he was nearly a P/GP, but his numbers this year are inline with what he did the year before that.

I know when I watch him play, his speed and skills/creativity with the puck are very noticeable which both would be welcome additions to the current lineup. Bruins need him and Poitras to progress and push for places in the lineup.

do you actually watch the games? I wouldn't call his season awful by any stretch

he's 5th in points on a team that has been among the best in the league all year, and his actual finer details play and board work/battling has improved from last year. He's 22.

Far from awful

Well it sure isn't good. He's 7th in goals and tied for 5th in assists. 5th in points (barely ahead of tufte and Farinacci).
As he is an offensive minded player there is nothing about the season that screams out that he is an NHL player.

If I've learned anything about this management group, its that they want everyone to be a 200ft player. The offensive numbers may not be eye popping, but he may also be being asked to try and focus on his defensive play

Right ... it isn't always about points. He could be focusing on his positioning and play away from the puck, sacrificing offensive to better round out his game. Sounds good written here, but only he and the coaching staff know what the issues are if any.
