I'm really happy for him. The more ridiculous he can make our management look the better.
Funny you should put it that way. Just before the game(s) started there was some talk back at HFCBJ about that I-still-think-it's-bullshit Jiricek rumor and folks were wondering about the guys here who might be good targets in such a case, and Evangelista's name came up, and I got that same familiar "that would be quite nice for one of my teams and another player I like, but not so much for the other team" feeling...

Next time I'm in the area I may have to visit downtown with a clue-by-four.

Yep, I'm with herzausstein on this one Viqsi, no guilt to be had, kid is just going to get benched and scratched and mindf***ed here. I'd rather see him in a spot he might get a chance to play and develop at the NHL level. Us getting something back that might maybe pan out to help us is a whatever silver lining.

I mean, I suppose it'd be better than some of the alternatives, I'd just feel weird about doing an Ex-Preds Refugee Camp or something.

At this point, it would be trading a talented young player that gets jerked around for a talented young player that’s going to get jerked around. Would it even matter?
But this one younger and should have more time before having to worry about waivers. He may be able to outlast the bruno. If not, then it really isnt a loss either way.

Jiricek was playing for Cleveland last night against the Admirals. It was his first game for them.

He had zeros across the board with his team winning 4-1.

It is too early to say, so I will say that David is worth a bag of pucks!

Brother Adam is 3 years younger. He is worth half a bag of pucks.

The annoying thing is that I can't trashtalk back because one way or another I'm slamming one of my teams. :( :shakehead

Did Fabbro get hurt last night?
Yes. Doesn't seem severe, tho.

Dante Fabbro may miss some games, the Columbus Blue Jackets said on Wednesday, but the veteran defenseman’s injuries aren’t as extensive — or long-term — as feared when he was injured in Tuesday’s loss at Tampa Bay.

“Everything has checked out so far,” Blue Jackets general manager Don Waddell told The Athletic. “It looks like it’s more of a charley horse than a knee injury. His leg was pretty swollen, but it looks like we dodged a bullet there.”

Imagine that ...smh:huh:To me this is the biggest turd in the bowl ....at least we got something for Asky:mad::madfire:
Absolutely agree. Most of the other issues with Trotz are at least semi-comprehensible even if they're presumably based on faulty premises. Waiving Fabbro was inexcusable from the start.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm happy he ended up here in Columbus, but there should have been an actual trade involved at minimum. Trotz made it way too obvious he wanted the guy gone and Waddell took him to school over it.

Hmph. If Waddell was such a genius he should have traded a 7th round draft pick for Fabbro rather than wait to luck out on other teams being dumb enough to pass on him on waivers. :sarcasm:

I didn't say he was perfect, just that he unquestionably handled it miles better than Trotz. I'm pretty well known back on HFCBJ as being not a huge fan of Waddell. Indeed, the Fabbro pickup is one of the few things I was truly happy with him about from the start. (most notably, I actually wasn't in favor of bringing in Monahan, and am still enjoying occasional leftover servings of crow over that one.)
