I'm going to bow out of the Inanna/Stumbledore discussion, as I find it tiring. It happened, it's done, so I'm going to focus more on the Jets talk.

I like the sound of the lineup in practice today. The forward lines look interesting. Lowry being the 2C last game seemed to give Ehlers a bump in play. I'm interested if that was what the second line needs to make us a threat come playoffs.
i haven't always loved lowry as a top-6C. albeit the stints have been few and far between so don't want to conclude it may not work this year. however, there was a stint a couple years ago with scheifele and wheeler where they didn't muster up much. last year he played a few games up there when scheifele or names was hurt, it wasn't super memorable to me (iirc one of the games was vs chicago) and even then not sure if it is enough to gauge a qualified opinion imo.

namestnikov and lowry's career stats, and recent career year stats (last 3 years) aren't super far off. idk even w/ Lowry i think that 2nd line still needs someone that can push the play and capitalize offensively.

Well, not so much the name change as it was a year and a half between the last post under Silver Moose in late 2020 to the next post ad Stumbledore in early 2022. Also posting heavily in the Coyotes board only to switch to the Jets board is pretty sketchy IMO.

If you're a fan of a team, why switch suddenly? 2022 Arizona still had a team.

Also, 5 months after Stumbledore's sudden return to Inanna's first post might be coincidental.

It's just suspicious enough to warrant scrutiny.

I could see a Jets 1.0 fan who stayed with the franchise (don't know why anyone would, but apparently some did) then eventually coming to Jets 2.0. The long time seems a little odd, but fans are like that.

Dammit, you figured it out!

I like the forward lineup. I think we might have 4 good lines now

Me too. Looks like a lot of speed, skill and pestliness now spread out a bit more evenly. Nice mix of skills and hopefully some chemistry.

Also, we’re close to having enough D to ice an additional two lines — that’s gotta be strength in depth, right?

Looking forward to the next one.

This whole post game thread has turned into an episode of the Young and the Restless.

I had one conversation with Inanna on these boards in private. Just to encourage a woman to feel welcome on these boards, and profess respect for "her" profession. To which "she" responded that it was tough when she was seen as a "bitch" and that there were many other women on this board, in secret, because women may want to conceal their identity if they want to divert attention. And a few details about "her" career.

It wasn't an exciting exchange. But the whole science experiment is an interesting twist for a message board about hockey. Seems like a waste of time.

On an aside I have been watching the Canada-U.S series in the 1996 World Cup for entertainment. That's probably some of the dirtiest hockey ever played. I don't think the 4 Nations will ever live up to that kind of hype or intensity.
I heard Jeff O'Neil's take which was the play will fall somewhere between the Olympics and World Championship.
I always thought they gave as much effort in Olympics as they do in the Worlds.
It is odd timing for the tourney and it is highly unlikely to come even close to the intensity of past world cup

Back to arguing about Logan Stanley!

Fun fact: there are only 7 real posters here running 40 or so accounts...and anyone using ellipses (or too many parenthetical references) is one of mine... :sarcasm:

I agree with alot of what you are saying but nobody knows who those 2 or 1 person is, they aren't using their real first or last name so how are they publicly shamed in this case? All i know is if that was me i would be still on here defending myself because i want to be here. The fact neither one posted a single thing in defense of themselves is a little weird , especially when neither one ever really held back their feelings about other people's posts. The whole thing is just a little weird to me.

WTH??!!

Suddenly my ignore list comes to life in an interesting if bizarre way…

On tomorrow’s bulletin: @Jet has never set flipflops on a cruise ship, and @Adam da bomb has a Heinola jersey proudly mounted on his bay window…

We’re through the looking glass, Jets fans.

And @sipowicz is Perfetti's father.

No way i could pull that off...... :naughty:

Here’s something to help you out

Just read through the past several pages and I'm invested in the truth now with the alt account situation lol - could any of our resident admins/mods check for duplicate IPs? would be shocked if someone kept up with VPNs to post daily on an alt account for nearly 3 years

So it looks like this site is basically back to the way it used to look? Or is just my setting?
I miss seeing the amount of posts and likes to see if someone is a troll...

What a coincidence! I tried skating last night and it also didn't go well, and it too was a matter of conditioning. :sarcasm:
Realized it was a matter of fact and drove downtown in the rain?

Seems plausible its the same person since if there was a goal to scam someone or an end game etc then stumbledore and inanna validates each others existence since they had 'seen' each other in real life... at least once anyway - so that likely takes them off the mod radar

Her writing style and wit were consistent with someone with a literature degree and I never cared enough to fact-check, since I saw right away that there was a lot of inventiveness in her story-telling. So what--is lying about your family details worse than some of the other liberties posters take with other posters on this anonymous board? This is partly a fantasy world and people are gonna make stuff up.
Lots of grammatical errors for somebody with an English lit degree...

Who are you and what did you do to Wolfhouse?

A poster @BarnabyJones PI pointed out some irregularities with Inanna's post history and called her on it. She hasn't been seen since.

@GeorgeJETson then noticed some links to her (?) with the account belonging to Stumbledore. He hasn't been seen since either.

I've been quite fascinated with this. This is really the only forum I hang at and I don't do stuff like social media or Reddit so I just have always assumed that I'm dealing with real people and not scammers. Their motivation as to why they did this is a mystery but if you look at the post histories, they've been feeding off of each other since the start. Bizarre stuff.

Wow

This is wild. How does one even figure this out ???

This thought has occurred to me as well.

All accounts are on notice :sarcasm:

But as to the why, it's anyone's guess. It feels like social engineering, where someone engages with a group of unsuspecting people hoping to compile a list of personal things some people might reveal about themselves, and compile it into a database.

There's two (possibly more) end goals:

1) Collect personal information to later attempt phishing and other potential account compromisation, like credit card accounts, bank account, etc. Remember those security questions that some of those sights ask like mother's maiden name? If you let information slip about who you are, and they look you up on social media, and learn that information. Easier to compromise now.

Other variations are to clone LinkedIn accounts, pretend to be you and connect with your coworkers, thus learning about your company.

2) Blackmail. This case had a pretty young "lady" in a room full of men. So you might get a catfishing situation, where messages are exchanged, maybe embarassing ones that you wouldn't want to get out. Once enough has been collected, then that person gets extorted.

There's likely other possible reasons, but it ultimately comes down to dirty ways to make money.

The fact that both accounts were doing this for 2 years really blows my mind. That's pretty hardcore.

But

Why a freaking winnipeg Jets the nhl team fan forum of all places ???

It’s not like there are thousands of us posting every day
