Roy had torched the minors, was arguably the second best player behind Bedard at the World Junior and was one of the best player in Laval
It appears that he's in a weird place: too strong for AHL but bot good enough for the NHL
Saying that he was going to Play this year wasn't unrealistic at all; unless you're the one person in the World that saw coming the fact that Heinemann of all people would overtake his spot this year?
Of course you didn't, because your hockey takes are terrible bro

The Habs are about to pass Detroit because Yzerman didn't went all in for a rebuild, and now you're stuck with a mediocre team because of him. You're on the Buffalo Road.

You can shit on Slaf all you want, but he'd probably still go first that year yet again. It would be between him, Cooley... And Lane Hutson, which we also got.

Yzerman firing is imminant because your team suck ass.

What you don't seem to get is that you can be a good prospect and still not be a Top 20 prospect... Tell me more about my bad takes though.

"Habs are about to pass Detroit" though... Convenient that you glossed over pointing out that their rebuild and shit center depth oddly mirrors the position Detroit was in a few years ago.

You're correct that 2022 is looking like a pretty shitty draft, but that doesn't make Slaf any less mediocre as a 1OA. And if Yzerman didn't go all in for a rebuild then I dunno what 2020 was...

Do tell me more though about how Yzerman's firing is so imminent that he signed a bunch of plugs to 1 and 2 year deals. Definitely the move of a guy who has pressure.

I didn’t see this poll until today, but I would have voted Lalonde, as I think he’s really evaded being fired for a long time. I would have voted him first head coach fired this season, but I think he was the fourth?

With the informations that we had AT the beginning of the Season, Roy was easily top 20 IMO
In hindisght, I would have him lower obviously but we didn't have those informations at that point

"Slaf is a bad 1 OA"
He was the best player available lol, Hughes did the best he could with what he had
And at the end of the Day, even if Slaf was to be a complete Bust (I still think he'll be PPG), he'll still be a 6'4", 230 lbs Monster

Center depth is not good on either the Habs or Detroit, but Montréal has a better defensive depth, and a better winger depth in their prospects too. Future, overall, is Much brighter un Montréal

Yzerman just fired Lalonde, the Day after Christmas, because he's that stressed about His job security

Yes. Roy was a Top 20 prospect in all of the NHL.

Being big at half a PPG doesn't make you a good player lol. Slaf will be OK. He's still not a great 1OA pick.

Center depth in Montreal is essentially Suzuki with Hage in college. In Detroit it's Larkin with Kasper and Danielson. None of those three are proven yet but 2 > 1. Dach and Newhook are both looking like shit, and old enough to be doing better than looking like shit. Guhle/Hutson/Reinbacher vs. Seider/Edvinsson/ASP is not particularly close given how Reinbacher's development is going...

And no, Yzerman firing Lalonde is not particularly indicative about his own feelings on his job. But again, feel free to explain how his UFA signings this offseason show any sense of pressure regarding his own job lol.
