A Pat Venditte that throws like Kershaw from the left, Scherzer from the right and fields like Omar Vizquel and hits like Mike Trout. So Bubba Chandler?
Well here's an idea!
he was a healthy scratch in the STL series.I'd have easily paid the price for Burakovsky
Agreed. Laine would be exciting, and the pure goal scorer for our top 6 that we need.
Longer shot, but this is a possibility I guess. If he wants to play for a contender as one hockey journalist said iirc, that certainly helps Carolina since he doesn't just want a maximum pay day that bottom feeder teams can provide. Someone in this topic said he also wants to be in the east due to his wife's connection to Philly. Another plus for Carolina.
Well, losing Trocheck automatically reduces our penalties significantly. One definite positive of not resigning him. Losing Cole and Smith helps some too, and unlike Trocheck, they didn't have the offense to make up for the penalties.
Anyway, I'd be happy with either one of JD, or Laine playing for us. To me, that'd be a win for an offseason on top of having a replacement for TDA (regardless of how Burns actually plays for us; that's to be determined).
Finally, I wanted to say that Dallas signing Marchment seems like a spiteful/petty move for us getting Burns for a fan looking from the outside in.
Man, Palat would be a great add. A clutch performer in the playoffs, and we desperately need that as we all know.If no Niederreiter…
Palat? Kubalik? Strome bros?
I thought Tarasenko wasn't available according to a hockey journalist? If he is, yeah, that's one of the top tier guys we should look at getting. My preferences would be
1a - Tarasenko
1b - Laine
2 - JT Miller
We have the assets to pull off a trade like that. If we're going after Laine we could use Necas as the centerpiece and build from there. With the other pieces we have it should be enough to push us over the top.
assumed first shot. easily can still be sent on waivers. He just gets more money this way.Super happy for Poturalski for getting his big NHL shot in Seattle. 2 years and one-way on both. Good luck to him!
Palat and Kubalik wouldnt be bad options. Still trades available. If no Niederreiter…

Either way, we've got to do something. For me it's
Miller time (big 2 way C) we have plenty of wing depth
Laine - nuff said.
Tank (so much risk and injury history here)
