I made it back from my trip to F**k Vegas, and I was stopped at the border and had my car searched and was interrogated for thirty minutes. I had bought over 100 funny t-shirts on my trip and I don't think they believed me that they were for personal use. I was under the duty amount so what did it matter? I guess they had nothing better to do.
It was quite funny to see them pull bag after bag of t-shirts out of my trunk. "Are you sure you need all these t-shirts," they said. "We're not here to judge." Yeah right. They were quite thorough, searching both inside the trunk, and even inside the car. They were even asking what the rattling noise in my driver side door was? I was going to say that it's a twenty year old car, the whole thing rattles, but I thought better of it. I just said that I broke the arm rest and I assume it's just some of the pieces rattling around in there. He did check my arm rest and noted that the inside plastic was broken.
Surprisingly enough, they managed to get all of my suitcases and t-shirts back in the trunk. I had a heck of a time trying to get them in the trunk in the first place, so I guess these guys have had a lot of practice doing this. They were nice and all, but I wonder why I was picked? Did I look dishonest, or were they F**K Vegas fans?
I guess I'll never know...
