Laughed at this. Teuvo is really smart defensively and looked pretty solid in 3 games in the NHL at it. In WJC he dominated offensively yes but people forget how good and important player he was defensively especially at the PK. Teuvo also plays more important position and has experience to play at the wing too. Teuvo is bigger too but i believe that Gaudreau has better offensive potential. Teuvo has very high offensive potential too and he has tools to become more complete player than Gaudreu.

I'm not denying Teuvo is smart defensively, from my viewings of both, Gaudreau looked better defensively. His ability to steal and takeaway pucks is very underrated.

- Doesn't have a favorite trick, he plays by instinct. If he gets a breakaway he prefers a wrist shot (because it's faster to set up and easier to do in a small space)
That was cut from two parts, I understood he prefers wrist shot over slapshot, generally, not just in breakaways.

I've watched TT for 3 years now, he is waaaaay ahead of Gaudreau in the defensive department.

Wow, never tire of seeing that play.

Intercept, forehand-backhand deke, backhand sauce flip pass over stick, dropping perfectly and hitting Saad in stride for the breakout.:amazed:

And the best thing about it is it looks so effortless. Like he had all the time in the world when he actually had barely any at all :)

- playing is easy when everything works, when it doesn't then it doesn't
- crowd demands couple of goals and it doesn't always go like that, there's going to be off-nights
- there's going to be disappointments once a while, you can't always get what you want
- confidence, it is about how quickly you overcome the disappointments
- if I miss a scoring chance I'm going to be pissed, but you can't keep thinking about it, you gotta think you're going to get a new chance next time on the ice
- yea, I've tried to get more strength over couple of years already, I've been training hard, summer is good time to train
- if you stop practising, you'll notice other people become better than you
- junior corner: "what's the best leg exercise?" "1-leg squat" (or something)
- in next episode: I think my biggest dream is Stanley Cup, playing in a leading role and be good in NHL

Just gotta say: especially after watching these videos he seems like an extremely level-headed and humble kid that has an extremely good attitude. He knows what he has to do and how he has to behave to be a great player in the NHL.

Love all the comments. Like that hes looking to develop more leg strength (squats), confidence, scoring, practicing and of course the Stanley Cup.

^^ Can someone summarize?

- He's never had a dream job and always wanted to be a hockey player
- Says that juniors need to have goals at young age in order to become a pro hockey players. Also said something about it's important for young players to work out
- Biggest dream is winning Stanley Cup and being a leading player in NHL
- He says that being good at young age is not enough and player needs to keep developing or other guys will pass you
- Scored his first goal as 7 year old when he started playing hockey.

Nothing really special in this one.

Yes there is. See bolded. Some players just want to make the NHL. He has much bigger goals in mind.

Only words I understood were "Stanley Cup". Says all the right things.

He also said that the years go by fast and you can't throw away any of them. You have to do everything you can every day to keep on developing otherwise you will never get to the goals you have set.

I think I've heard similar words from some of the greatest players in the game.

I'm a Canucks fan so I hate the hawks..but even i gotta admit that Teravainen is a hell of a player.

Maybe he'll replace Richards in a year or two and secure himself as a top6 center.

Guy is a stud.

He reminds me of Hunter Shinkaruk a bit.. but more polished, faster and miles better in his own zone.

Astute observation for his age. Great pick for Chicago, should have gone top 10 for sure.

That was a brilliant heads up defensive play. Prevented a sure goal. TTs stick work is elite. Showed that in his rookie camps being among the few viewings Blackhawks fans had a chance to see so far.

Calling it a sure goal is definitely an insult to the goalie, but a great play nonetheless.

It's not fair that Hawks have probably the best prospect in the world. Damn this guy is just ridiculous! :shakehead
