F Ryan Roobroeck - Niagara IceDogs, OHL (2026 Draft)

Not sure if he needs another year in the O, but would really like to see him in the NCAA for his 19 year old season at minimum if the CHL-NHL Agreement remains the same & he can't play in the A then. Roobroeck one of the most interesting to see what he does since he's been really good & is a late birthday, thus an extra year before being drafted.

At one point in time this player was seen as a potential exceptional status player. If you look at Roobroeck from that lens, he has been disappointing in the OHL. But I don’t think that’s fair to the player, because he has been a very good since entering the OHL. Changing the trajectory of the Ice Dogs franchise with his decision to report. Although no one wanted to go to Niagara in 2023, Roobroeck took it upon himself to see it as an opportunity, rather than a burden and that speaks a lot to his character and he has helped turn that franchise from a laughing stock to a contender in 2 short years.

He has been Niagara’s best player this season and is well on his way to being a top-10 selection in the 2026 draft. Very much worthy of his draft spot in the OHL draft and looks promising as a player that’ll see NHL success down the road.
