Amirov is practicing and travelling with Salavat, but he won't play until November at the earliest. I believe he still has one more round of chemotherapy to do.

Nice to see Amirov in that opening ceremony last night. I have always thought very highly of the kid and think he has all the tools. Hopefully he continues his healing and has a long career.

Looked like a little boy next to the other guys though!

You just hope the kid has a healthy life. Brain cancer at 20 with chemo is unimaginable, especially when, AFAIK, surgery has never on the table. I have no visions or hope he'll play some day. Too much to ask, just hope he's able to live a happy and healthy life.
