They said it was a minor lower body injury a month ago. He's missed a lot of time. He's been deemed possible for the last two games. I think he's ready but the team decided to give him the extra rest. Next game isn't until Nov 3

Ostap Safin will most likely returning Saturday for Mooseheads next game. He was practicing on Friday and looking expected to come back soon. Most likely gonna start on the third line for a while then make his way up. Can’t wait to see him play I think this high powered team and automatically in the memorial cup will really improve his game.

The 6’5” beast returns tonight. Playing on the 2nd line alongside Benoit Olivier Groulx (Ducks) and Czech teammate Marcel Barinka (2019 Eligible). Excited to see how he does.

Hope he returns soon. He’s been out for a while now. The same previous lower body injury he had earlier this year is affecting him again. Need some more production. In the games he’s played though he’s done amazing.

He hasn't been right all season to be honest. Really slow foot speed and can't get any load his shot up for any power; the last couple of games have been painful to watch honestly (no disrespect to the guy, playing injured is commendable and you can't expect him at this best. It's his hip.

Agreed, doesn’t look strong on his skates at all.

Sitting him out until they know for sure he’s 110% same goes for the other following Injured players... Trepanier, Chainey, And Ryczek. Would freaking suck losing that talent again in the playoffs/m-cup. Unfortunate to waste a first Round Pick on a guy who’ll 90% likely to make the AHL next season

Safin is back but playing on the fourth line for now possibly for pre-cautionary reasons. Lines are very messed up currently but we’ll see how well he and the team plays tonight.
