What's the story here? Is he still out with an injury? Is he headed to Grand Rapids when he comes back?
No. Becher is skilled playmaker. His current production can be explained with the fact that this is his 1st pro season and he was injured through off-season. So he missed off-season training and that usually ruins the entire season. Give some time but perhaps confidence boosting stint in Toledo would help.He apparently signed an ELC, according to Detroit's social media.
Somebody help me here... Is he a grind line type? Because I guess I'm not getting throwing an ELC at a guy with his current production. But I admittedly know nothing about him.

True but 19 games in 2 years is more like a "taste" of pro hockey and that was in Czechia2 level. I would guess that his TOI in those games are less than 10min per game. So it's a quite a jump to AHL.He actually played vs men back in Czechia but that was long ago and obviously on wider European ice.
He got promoted to 3C over the last month and only back to 4C since Lombardi came back for these past 2 gamesView attachment 981031
Happy he had a nice night but he was at 3 points in 19 games when I stat watched him in December (above)
So that is 7 points in his last 18 games.
Doubled his production I guess but needs to score more given he's a scoring winger. I haven't seen him though and am just stat watching.
Thanks.. I've only statwatched and not even that. When the tweets from Czech hockey show he had a good game.lol I just haven't seen many tweets and when I do I go to AHL.com and think.. not here yet.lolHe got promoted to 3C over the last month and only back to 4C since Lombardi came back for these past 2 games
Becher was slotted for a while on PP2 looking good and has now crept onto the top PP unit here and there. Made the most of it last night. His anticipation is excellent offensively, and quite the same defensively. He's been earning the trust from the coach which is no small feat
For a kid who looked timid adjusting to the pace of the AHL for his first 20 games, he has been one of the more dependable Griffins game after game for over the last month and a bit. Holding down the fort in the bottom 6 since then looking a lot more confident
Has been creating offense on his own and generating zone exits in transition from his defensive reads with not the greatest of linemates, but still makes it happen. Very pleased with him adjusting this quick. Will be the potential 2C in GR next season if he continues strong play down the stretch
Rychlovsky is pretty unspectacular and is what he is at this point. Has a little bit of skill but doesn't possess impressive IQ. Lately, Hunter Johannes has caught on to the AHL pace and has beat out Rychlovsky for the #4LW spot, who's be sitting out as a scratch. I don't mind him in that spot when he's there though. He's just not much more than thatThanks.. I've only statwatched and not even that. 2C next year would be tremendous! Nice thing about Becher is that he is good at D and could fit a bottom 6 role in the NHL. Eg. a lot of prospects are excellent top 6 players but when they can't get Top 6 time they are useless in bottom 6. Becher does have a bottom 6 game to give him a chance.
He's right on the pace I thought he'd be at. Next year is all AHL and then maybe a cup of coffee. BUT Wing's should be pretty good in 2 years so he may run out of window too. I'll cheer to the end.
Any thoughts on Rychlovsky? Seems like he is doing awful?
