I try to avoid sayign anything definittive abt prospects cuz its never an exact science but Im like 99% confident that Moore won't ever sniff a top 6 role and might struggle establishing a third line niche in the league. The guy has negative offensive IQ and poise with the puck. I think he's going to bounce around a lot of teams in the NHL during his career who see upside with his physical tools but will cut bait once better options come around.

He's pure north south offensively. Decent hands, plus shot. ++wheels, ++motor.

I’ll give him credit, he made a plan and he’s going to stick to it.

I much prefer that over the directionless rollercoaster Stan was taking us on.

Don’t worry we are on a new rollercoaster, it looks cool and all for some here I am not sure why but it will certainly end in disaster, I see it but most are still spinning in the air not seeing the inevitable. There were much better picks than Moore, Perrault stood out big time at the time and it was moronic not to grab him.

Stan had a plan. It was to continue to compete with Toews and Kane and Keith as the core. He just continued to whiff on adding pieces to continue to contend. Panarin trade, Jones trade, etc.

Haters in the mid late 2000s “Hawks just totally botched Skille and Barker picks. Throw the organization in the trash. “

Crazy how fast this downturn for Moore has gone. I was stoked about the pick at the time and the majority of draft rankings had him considered as a steal in that spot.

It stings even more when you think they took Gajan just 16 picks later and how starved we are for young impact forwards to play with Bedard.

ugh

I was trying to remain hopeful but he's just the same player. I don't see much offensive development. Easiest way to say it for me is he just looks the same as he's always looked.
He's got some great tools and the heart to use them. He's just not an offensive player. I see a lot of 15/15 seasons in his future.

I can't even be upset about the Moore pick, he was BPA and ranked in the top 10 by some outlets. Kid just hasn't developed and this happens sometimes.

Gajan I think is a lot more indefensible of a pick. Tiny sample size of success (if Slovakia doesn't play Canada in the quarterfinals I truly dont think this pick happens) and way too high to be drafting a goalie, especially for a team as starved for forward talent as we were (debatably still are)
