Rightfully so.Voted tournament MVP.
Deserved. And she has 3 more chances to play.Voted tournament MVP.
Well if that is the minimum!Just saw the clips. Wow some insane puck skills on display there.
At minimum she has the potential to be the greatest female hockey player of all time.
LMAO...At minimum she has the potential to be greater than Wickenheiser. At maximum future Art Ross contender.Just saw the clips. Wow some insane puck skills on display there.

I mean her team lost 6-1 to Sweden and Sweden went on to get beaten 10-0 to Canada in the Gold Medal game. I would say it is still a ways away. The format of the tournament absolute aided in her putting up the points she did. I was just hoping Slovakia would get into group A for next season to see her go against Canada and USA but that isn't happening either.Hopefully, this at least results in a women's team that can challenge Canada and the US
what are you smoking? could i not get what you are on...LMAO...At minimum she has the potential to be greater than Wickenheiser. At maximum future Art Ross contender.
Somewhere in between that low and high.
I should have included the sarcasm emoji! Total sarcasm. I was quoting a poster who said at minimum she is the female GOAT. At MINIMUM!!! lolwhat are you smoking? could i not get what you are on...
maximum : greater what Wickenheiser,
other than that is sarcasm, lying to self or complete crazyness
it would be cool if one day it was real, but realistically speaking it will never happen, no matter how much you believe and want it to happen.
that said, good luck to her and for her career.
Think that was more of a publicity stunt. As a comparison, Marie-Philip Poulin (female Crosby) turned down an ECHL offer to play in Trois-Rivières this Summer. Could she dominate at this level? We'll never know.
The top womens junior league in Canada is the OWHL it is a U22 league and 14 players on the Canadian team are currently playing in that league. How is it with Canadian junior women leagues? What is the top?
Yeah people really can’t grasp the gap in talent. Canada and USA womens teams get beat by u16 boys teams. To be completely honest the best female hockey player on earth would struggle in the Federal Hockey League. Its just the reality of it.Think that was more of a publicity stunt.
She would get dominated at the ECHL level and it would border on unsafe
Funny to bring up the ECHL. They had their all star game yesterday and they invited 2 female players, Sydney Brodt and Ann-Sophie Bettez from the PHF to play. Brodt had a goal in the ASG.Think that was more of a publicity stunt.

That's the difference, it's an all-star game. It's not a real game.Funny to bring up the ECHL. They had their all star game yesterday and they invited 2 female players, Sydney Brodt and Ann-Sophie Bettez from the PHF to play. Brodt had a goal in the ASG.
Some really don't seem to grasp the difference between the levels of the games between men and women, and the gigantic, grand canyon-esque difference hitting and physical play has.
These women are incredible, incredible hockey players. They cannot safely play, to a level that would keep them there, in a professional Men's league outside of a Div 3, and even then it's not something that is likely to occur.
I agree they should be allowed to body check. But maybe that is something that women should be allowed to decide for themselves. It should not be imposed by men in high positions. It's almost a different sport when hitting is not allowed. I've been saying it for years - we are doing a disservice to women's hockey by letting them play without bodychecking. It's not a hard concept and any male that starts playing hockey as an adult will understand that you can't just transition to a bodychecking league when you didn't grow up with it.
If we *truly* want to grow the game for women and give them an opportunity at the higher levels, we need to equalize the game and have both men and women play with the same rules.
