No but NoDak was a good measuring stick and I would say Celebrini was 'just' good. It's not meant to be a huge knock. It was two good teams, big boy hockey, and space was tight. And again, I thought he played well, but I think his footspeed is not quite at the level to allow him to completely take over a game in that situation. Its a hard league for a draft eligible, he wasn't the only one who had some troubles NoDak played well.
The thing I like was his compete, and his vision. Every puck was a battle that night but if he turns the puck over he knows his options immediately & moves it quick. We've seen the shot (and I agree he wasn't able to get many looks in the game) but his playmaking is still a threat when the shooting opportunities + open ice aren't there.
He's a complete package offensively & once he gets stronger he's going to be really good.
I agree with your post though and agree he's good at everything. His hockey sense is very good. His compete is very good. He's good defensively. It's clear his shot is good and he can finish. His speed is good, certainly above average for NHL, but if he had an extra step.. he'd be a generational type of prospect. As is today, I think he's more of the Pettersson/Point tier. Hardly an insult and I think anyone would be more than happy to add that to their team.
