F Leon Roos - Brynäs IF U16, U16 Region (2028 Draft)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

One of only a few 2010’s playing in Swedish’s U16 leagues, anyone have any info?

Not seen him, but heard a youth coach claiming he is better than all the Swedish 09’s. Apparently the team/district he plays for (Gävle/Gästrikland) are loaded when it comes to skilled 2009 and 2010-borns.

Might be obvious considering he is a major part of the team as a double underager, but easily the best player on Brynäs relative to age. Likely to be the needlemover of the entire team next year.

Awesome to hear, is the Swedish 2010 age group one of the better ones on the horizon?

Impossible to say right now, since I watch way less u16 than junior hockey, and most of the 2010s are just dunking on other kids in their districts and not playing fulltime in the top u16 division this year. Will be way easier to tell next year when pretty much all of them do. But I have heard good things about this age group, and having a couple kids do well as double underagers in u16 region is promising.

Very true, I appreciate the insight.

I have seen this guy put up a lot of great numbers against older peers... But is he really the player to watch for the 2027 draft? I saw two games in the U16 SM but it looks like he is already 183 CM tall...

Let's see what he has to offer against the player born 2009 (U16 Region) this upcoming season.

Has some of the best J18 stats ever for a U15.

How good is he?
From the few games i've watched, i hoped for more. But his stats are impressive so maybe i have watched the wrong games lol. Right now i think there are better 2010-borns, like Spelkvist and Olle Sandberg. Roos WHC stats are insane so theres clearly something there but im watching him playing vs Sandbergs team right now and Sandberg is better so far.
