Let's not forget that he's more than two years younger than great and hyped prospects like Noah Östlund and Jiri Kulich, first rounders as well. Of course he will play at least one season with Rochester.
If he even makes it next year and one year before they did that's quite impressive because I consider those two other prospects as very promising.

I mean the Sabres do have such a young forward group but they are older than Konsta. It will be difficult to get ice time before other first round picks before. I can mention others like Rosén, Benson, Cozens, Krebs, Peterka besides stars in their prime like TT and Tuch.
Thing is I already rate Östlund and Kulich higher than some of the players in Sabres. Peterka is born 2002 and very underrated in the league and it's not like they will keep Konsta playing in a fourth line role.
So not even a hot take seeing him playing for the Rochester by now.

Kulich had 2 great seasons in AHL, Rosen too. I think every new guy in that org(Blunt Sabres) is busted unless he wants to play in bottom6.

He plays very "vet like". Willing to take contact, makes smart plays over flashy ones, and defensively sound. I've actually seen him pass off good opportunities in his other preseason games, so I was happy to see him hit that one-timer home.

He needs a year or two in the A to continue to develop for sure. There is an NHL player here though

I don't think the ceiling is super high, but the floor is basically a guaranteed hit.
Meh top 6 high iq do it all responsible guy. Ceiling is good he has the vision, attention to detail, skating and an urgency to his game while remaining calm, focus and poised. Plays a very mature game but the skill is there a 60 point two way playmaking center is probably his ceiling. He also seems to be a guy who can exceed expectations maybe he is a JEE ,Elias lindholm or a dannault.

Okish bottom 6 grinder. Not very high IQ. A few years in the AHL then his ceiling could be 50 points career high in the NHL.

You make it sound like a defensive center who scores 50 points is a bad thing. Especially in Buffalo, where 50 points would make him one of the top scorers.
