Live in Rutland Vermont but often in Utica for work. Caught both games last weekend. He stands out for always making the right play. Not a crazy athlete but understands the game and where to be.
That's him, alright. Antti Miettinen with a better shot.

Starting to pick up points, 5 points in last 3 games, and 8 points in last 11

Now up to 11 points in 26 games overall before heading out to the WJC, looks like he’s heating up at the right moment

Poor u20 in my opinion. He seems much slower than last year, also his poise or confidence seem to be somehow off. Atm against slovakia, he nagged to his linemates in pp, also his line has not clicked for the whole tournament.

Seems to be totally different guy compared to him in the year before.

Might be just a glimpse out of context, but I think he should have more of barkov-esque leadership. Do more, compete, let the results defend itself.

Ok, it was just the first period sluggishness. Glad to jinx this way

Buffalo should trade him to Pittsburgh. I really like this player as a potential 2nd-3rd line center/winger. Has good skill, plays with physicality at times, and has very good sense. He seems like a good kid as well. Just need to see him bulk up.

You don’t need him Buffalo. He’d look great in black and gold.

We missed out on Matthew Savoie. If Buffalo is still in the business of giving away some good prospects, I’d like to call first dibs on Helenius.

Getting Helenius was part of why they parted with Savoie. Helenius has been the 1C for Rochester and been okay, which is crazy for an 18-year old.
