Justin Poirier is having a great season in Quebec's Midget AAA this year (now named M18) with currently 26 goals in 27 games. He is Calgary's draft pick Jeremie Poirier's brother, who is playing with the Saint John Sea Dogs.

He leads the league in goals and points right now and could be the QMJHL 1st overall pick this summer.

Seems to have a very short stocky build, we'll see if he can grow to around his brothers height

He's very exciting. It's just his size is worrying for how he tries to play. Tries to dangle every player and tries to get everything out of his stick-handling with cut backs and fakes. He has great edge-work, but he also looks like the type of player that holds onto the puck too long and thats often a problem for smaller skill players. Really good stick-skills, more of a shooter than passer but very good at both, he has speed. A lot to like. Maybe over-handles the puck a little too much. The main problem will be his size.

His brother is pretty tall. Over 6'0. If Justin has a growth spurt, he'll be a first round pick. If not, he still might due to his offensive potential.
