CongratsHe'll climb into the top half of the 2nd round. Sens have 32 and 44 .. Definitely would be a good add to the Sens.
Something went very wrongHard to imagine he was drafted prior to the Covid shutdown. But why was it his career trajectory did not go as expected?
Or did it?

0 goal in 37 games this year and he is not a goalie
Really thought this guy had the compete and skill to make it.
I traded a 1st for him years ago. Was a big believer.Had to reluctantly let him go from my keeper farm this season, it just isn’t coming together at all at the pro level.

This is what I think as well. Carolina and Nashville sharing an AHL team wasn’t good for either team’s prospects.I feel like the minor league fiasco between the Wolves and Canes messed up his development.
He was really good in his 18 year old season, but didn't absolutely dominate it to the point of where I thought he was too good for the league (like Stankoven was back in the Dub in his 18 year old season). Going back to junior for one more year wouldn't have hindered his growth IMHO.I wonder did the lacerated kidney mess up his development in his last OHL season. Also, I don't think he needed extra time in the junior he lit up the league in his final year, no point in staying. Anyway, the kidney doesn't really make sense because his had like 42 points in 60 AHL games. I feel like the minor league fiasco between the Wolves and Canes messed up his development.
Oh I think the issues with Chicago absolutely messed up any chance for the kid. I thought he might be able to make it as a 4th line energy guy since he played that style and the Canes had invested a ton into him at the minor league level prior to that season. Being loaned out to another AHL team that had no reason to gaf about his development stifled any further room to develop.I wonder did the lacerated kidney mess up his development in his last OHL season.
