Michkov was also playing huge minutes and PP time. Once again as it’s mentioned in the thread, Demidovs /60 is absolutely rediculous. To the point where you can’t even compare the two.

Yeah, it's just SKA PP has/had DeAngelo and Nikishin as PP quaterbacks, and Sochi had who? Oh yes, Jesse Graham and Danila Galenyuk. Graham was kinda OK, but he never played with Michkov on PP. Galenyuk... he was about as good offensively as Zamula. Quality of teammates matters, you know.

And Michkov had problems with pneumonia for half the season, and still scored 41 points in 47 games playing for the worst KHL team.

Rumor has it that Michkov was on life support machines for half the season and slept in an iron lung.

Who care about who was ska pp quaterback. Demidov wasn't on it

Demidov barely touches the PP🙄

Michkov had 20 points in 27 games a year younger than demidov is right now. That was his point. And is valid.

Can't even compare the two... He has watched more games of both than anybody on here

Demidov has remained amazingly fresh though. I'd actually expect his /60 to decrease the more ice time he's given. He'd likely hit a physical wall at some point had he been playing a lot of minutes. It's his first year against men. That's perfectly normal. It sort of occurred with Michkov towards the end of last season too.

That said, Demidov has been phenominal thus far. I knew he was good but few expected his current level of dominance. Imo he's having a better D+1 year than Michkov, but they're very difficult to compare. It's close.

Demidov d+1 > michkov d+1

I still think Michkov was the better prospect pre draft , his 16 and 17 year old seasons were pretty incredible. Better than Demidovs statistically , Demidov has gained some ground on him with the stellar D+1 though

I agree with your statement

But his point was more like >>>>>
"Can't even compare the two"
They are quite close and I don't know how you can be mad at picking one over the other , the people saying AINEC and stuff are the usual suspects

I've seen some AINEC posters saying Michkov was a better prospect than Ovechkin

Maybe one day people will understand that P/60 is an entirely useless stat, but today is not that day.

FWIW I think Demidov will be a 90-100+pt superstar in the NHL.

I think it’s hard to compare P/60 or even PPG when comparing two players in the KHL. The same for SV%. If you play for SKA or CSKA, it’s usually a very different environment (for good and bad) than most of the other teams.
