I hope for just two little things.

1- No 'complications' in getting to Montreal.
2- That his adjustment to North American hockey is a swift one.

I won't lose my shit over Demidov until I see him donning 'La Sainte-Flanelle' on Bell Centre ice.

It's obviously not linear but In Demidov's case more icetime does correlate to a big boost in production.

1 point 9 games with less than 9 mins (played under 5 mins for most of these)
36 points in 34 games with more than 9 minutes
23 points in 13 games with more than 15 minutes

So it's probably safe to say he could have a lot more points if he played good minutes and pp all season

He is just an unreal talent, every single day I'm excited about his future. We've obviously never had a young talent like this in my lifetime.

As exciting as this year is, next year is beyond that. I hope expectations don't go through the roof and we're realistic with these kids but damn it's hard this team is so talented.

We will never know, will we? Other factors could come into play such as fatigue, possible injuries, etc.

Which is what his post was about.

Just really even if he had less points is not about that, look at the big picture. Proving every day a little bit more that he has that something to become a dominant NHL player. I thought Michkov was better from the very start but after what I've seen from Ivan this year... I think it's debatable

You're right, in the grand scheme of things it's not really about the numbers. I've watched around 10 full games from him this season and I've been impressed each time. His overall game is so good, his edges, compete level, outrageous skill, the superstar aura, it's all there.

He's a tier above every Habs prospects I've seen in my lifetime and I'm not that young either.

Montreal will be blessed to have him, I honestly just assumed he would never slip to 5 in a million years.
 
Sometimes you can just watch a player once and know they're special. I won't pretend to be an expert, but I've seen plenty of him now. He's going to be a real high end player. With his potential, the sky is the limit. It's more a matter of how high he goes, than if he'll be great.
