F Ivan Demidov (2024, 5th, MTL) Part 2

Do you have a hard time reading? changes THE COMPLEXION of the roster. Do you know what that infers or what that word means?
Yes I do, but it seems that you (quite hilariously, I might add) do not.

Complexion: the general aspect or character of something.

The addition of another rookie (or any player really) literally changes the complexion of the team, as per the definition of the word.

😂

If he doesn't score 3 goals and beat up at least two players in his first game...he's a Rusky bum....(Cherry told me to say that!)

He still needs to get a visa and travel, I doubt he plays this week

The earliest he probably plays is Saturday (and more likely Monday), but it sounds like he'll be in Montreal tomorrow.

Visa stuff may be complicated, but Montreal also don't have any more regular season games in the US, so its a little more simple.

So you cant see the correlation that one player changes the entire complexion of a 12 man unit? I can't decide if you're being intentionally obtuse or if English is your second language. Because anyone that understands the sport knows that players come in and out all the time. For one player to have this level of impact would be substantial. Do you follow?

Dude, you are arguing with the actual definition of the word at this point. If you have a problem with it, take it up with the Oxford English Dictionary, or other such organizations.

You are also now moving the goalposts from “changes the complexion of the team” to “a substantial level of impact” or whatever nonsense strawman you’ve chosen.

You were wrong and got corrected. It’s as simple as that 😂

No im not, I am simply explaining the context of why those are lofty expectations based on the application of the definition of the word in this scenario. I cant help if you are too simple to follow.

No pressure!

Gonna be exciting to see what he can do. Not an easy time to come into the league and get your feet wet. Hopefully Habs fans understand this.

I am sure he will be incredible at some point but the expectations for right away I am reading in here are pretty sky high.
Yeah they are waaaay to high for an 18 year old who never played a second in the NHL and can barely speak english. Lets pipe it down a little LOL
Btw...are there any Russian speaking folks on the team ?

Playing against Toronto will be great for his development since he can learn from a better opponent that has made the playoffs 9 seasons in a row.
It’s crazy to think that the same team, with the same core has made the playoffs nine straight times and only gotten as far as winning 5 of the 16 wins needed to win the Cup, and they only did that in one of those nine tries.

That’s funny, because I posted the exact definition of the word for you, and you are still unable to comprehend it, apparently. It’s right in front of your face.

Complexion: the general aspect or character of something.

Adding a high-profile rookie definitely changes the “general aspect or character” of the team. There is nothing in the definition of the word that indicates any extent or level of change or anything like that; that’s an entirely different thing.

The word was used fairly and correctly. It’s your interpretation and/or understanding of it that is flawed.

Unbelievable how I’ve had to spoon-feed this to you, yet you still don’t understand it.
