Blackhawk Down
He's big and he's an actual center. NHL minimum is close to what he'd be making in Russia. We need a center or three.
why wouldn't you want to get a guy on a 1-year ELC and see if there's something there. If not, he would likely just go back. Not really excited about this----I think Dominic James will be better.
I don't think either of those guys are any good. Atleast with Safonov I think he actually has a shot to play a role.Any chance we can bring Shalunov and Kayumov over at same time?
1-year deals and if they don't make Hawks they can go back to Russia if they like
Sadly its never going to happen
C'mon, you don't actually believe either of them have any sort of chance of being productive Blackhawks, do you?Any chance we can bring Shalunov and Kayumov over at same time?

BWC of course believes any Russian prospect has a better chance…historically overvalues them compared to other similar prospects.C'mon, you don't actually believe either of them have any sort of chance of being productive Blackhawks, do you?

Jeez, dare to aim higher. Or stop using nationality as your sole criteria for assembling a roster. Why not?
Have you looked at our roster lately?
There is also nothing coming up front anytime soon as Rockford is bare of talent
I think we do need more size up front.snip
I would say no to Kravtsov, he had bad attitude when he was in NHL. Althought Radulov grew up when he went back KHL.I think we do need more size up front.
Safonov doesn’t provide much scoring, but if he can win faceoffs, play solid defense, check well, and use his size to screen goalies, there could be a role for him—perhaps as a replacement for Dickinson.
Also, I believe Vitaly Kravtsov’s contract in the KHL expires after this season. He’s only 25 years old, stands 6’3", 194 lbs, and has put up 23 goals, 26 assists, and a +24 rating so far this season in the KHL.
He was originally drafted by the Rangers in 2018 and later traded to Vancouver. When he signed a two-year deal to play in Russia, the Canucks still issued a qualifying offer, which I believe means they retain his NHL rights until he turns 26.
Could a trade for his rights make sense if the Blackhawks believe he has matured and developed in Russia over the past few seasons?
