Is this kid a 1st rounder right now? How does he stack up against Perevalov?

I definitely think so. He’s a great all around player. Too good for the MHL. I expect he’ll see more time in the V and start producing. No real weaknesses to his game but nothing at the top of his class either. Seems like a safe middle 6 winger deserving a pick in the late teens/20s.

For all that's worth, he's starting to trickle into the first round on some scouting lists, slow or not.

My #1 pick of a guy that will fly under the radar this year and will go higher then most people will expect. People will go "Who?", scratch their heads and will be amazed by this guy.

This kid has top 6 potential. Has a cannon of a shot

Omsk guys sure can shoot. Chinakhov and Gritsyuk come to mind.

No matter how you slice it his stat line is far behind the top guys in class. I see a lot of NA lists overrate him a bit. In my book at this point in time he is a 2nd rounder at best.

PPG in the MHL is cool, but not as cool as 2 PPG. 2 pts in 12 games in the VHL are cool, but not as cool as Miroshnichenko's 9 pts in 22 games. And I consider Miroshnichenko slumping.

The Russian forward class for 2022 is looking sharp. Miroshnichenko, Trikozov, and Yurov are all looking like potential top 15 picks. A ways to go but the numbers and eye test on all 3 are fantastic.

Trikozov might have the best hands of the 3.

trikozov has the best IQ among

100+. He's a brilliant guy. Shot isn't his prime weapon imo, but game sense, hands and IQ it is. He remind me by flaches sometime Larionov/ Datsuk / Erat. Well-rounded, intelligent offensive player.

A lot of praise for a guy who fails to perform in the VHL and is slightly over PPG in the MHL. And that after having a multi-point game.

Its clear you are just looking at his point total and havent seen shifts of him.
I have "seen shifts" of every russian prospect worth a discussion for 2022. Now what? The "you haven't watched him/them play" is a pretty weak argument on the internets.

I am just trying to cool down the overly enthusiastic who judge a guy by some flashy performances only. I am not denying he is a prospect worthy of notice. I just say he is overrated based on the last year's ratings where he was flying pretty high. And that a prospect of the caliber suggested by those who see him a first half first rounder should not fall off the cliff in the VHL(as I stated earlier in this thread, Miroshnichenko I consider slumping in the VHL based on his prospect status and I don't see him as a Top10 pick anymore at this point. Trikozov is far behind with his VHL play) and maybe be more noticable on the scoresheet in the MHL too. Besides "having talent" prospects should be able to put up numbers too, especially against their peers. Other than that he is probably a late first or a 2nd round pick worth making.

Moscow, Russia
Yastreby is a pretty young team, which sometimes makes hard for them to compete vs tougher and older opponents. He could have had better stats on a better team because of better linemates. Or he could have had worse ones, because of playing smaller role. Btw he's the only PPG+ player on the team. I mean, Serdyuk is too, but he's played just 10 games.

Serdyuk has 11 points after 10 games in the MHL but 21 points after 37 games in the VHL. It's not that simple to project statistics between the leagues. All kids but Michkov have problems with consistency.
