You guys need to chill out.. How was it Petr fault that Sale was to lazy to skate during U18?

Also how was Dvorsky playing with much more talented players? Pobezal is 2025 draft eligible and ended up the tournament with 0 pts and Adam
Cedzo probably wont even be drafted this year same with Masnica.

Pekarcik was playing on the 2nd line most of the tournament.

You make it sound like he had a Leonard and Perrault as his wingers.
Point is Sale was better and more impactful at U20 then Dvorsky, he had a better club season behind him, being more impactful in top league, rather then Dvorsky only in the second. Yet dvorky is ranked somewhere around 7-8 and Sale even as low as 25, only because Dvorsky had better U18.

Hopefully they didn't conspire against us

Really nice 2 minute highlight video of him. I still maintain he will be a riser in the redraft 5 years from now.

No doubt the talent is there.
Today, isport published an article with an unnamed scout regarding the draft. They discussed a lot of topics there, of course including Šalá. He repeated what some write about him here, inconsistent performances.
A naive game by the guards, when he clearly does not go all the way into the fights and rhetorically asks: does anyone think that no one will notice?
It's all about his attitude, if he doesn't learn to play consistently his career will be a bust. It's that simple.

He also said they don't like Michkov's attitude. I found that interesting too!

I think Sale puts it together. I think if he was in CHL and playing everynight that the scouts would see it differently. Time will tell! Just hope he doesn't fall to round 2!

There is no chance he falls to round 2

I don't really believe that, there is probably not a single scout who would have him only in the second round. Although this is still just a number. What will really matter is his development and how he approaches his weaknesses. But I expect him somewhere in the second half of the first round.

I think he is a 10 who will go at 25. Same way I feel about Kulich. Hope it's a good team, they get him over and work on his flaws!

So (once again..:)) I don't understand..
Edit: I guess I get it now. But I'm afraid that this was always clear with Kulich, access was never a problem for him. But yes, if Šalé were to rise in the ratings like Kulich after a year, why not..

I know its a highlight reel, and I am far from being a scout, even by HFBoards scout standards, but this looks a highlight reel for a top-10 player. So much skill.
I absolutely agree but the problem is the most of these plays are from 2022 and Sale in 2023 isn´t the same player than Sale in 2022. So what now? This is the reason why it´s so difficult to rank him for the scouts and for me of course as well.

Understood.

But hopefully, the team scouts digging into why? Was it a lack of effort? Was he playing through an injury? Did he go through physical changes and has not quite adjusted to them?

Seems weird because I don't see a lack of effort in those highlights. Again, I know it's a highlight reel but it did not show him score fluke goals or assists. Or just lazing through the ice.

Either way, I can totally get the risk factor, especially in the top 10, if he has seen a drop in point production.

his draft range seems to be 10 to 25... no consensus at all other than first rounder. I'll be really curious where he ends up and how he does in the future!

Riser like Kulich? Faller like Kaut?

No idea. FTR.. I'm a huge fan of the kid. But I'm from Brno too!

Can't fault him much for not putting up big numbers in the Czech league. It's proven to be a very difficult league to score in as a youngster:

Production is right in line with Necas and Kulich., who are at the top of the list since the lockout with PPGs in the 0.3-0.4 range.

Skill and size is there. I question his commitment and effort level, but he's definitely worth a pick in the 20s with his upside should his GAS meter increase.

Eduard Sale is so good he made the top 20 TWICE!

Joking aside... of the top 20... only 3 guys haven't played in NHL.. Spacek, Sale and Mysak. I think Sale and Mysak eventually get an NHL role. Sale in Top 6 and Mysak in bottom 6. I'm a huge Spacek fan but he seems to be a Euro star now.

Jeff Marek (very good source) says he's 99% headed to the Barrie Colts in the OHL.
He would’ve joined them this year, but if he did he would have been locked into playing his D1&D2 seasons in the OHL, now he has the option to leave the CHL and play AHL as a 19 year old if that is what they want to do.

Ahh. Didn't know that. A good amount of flexibility for the Kraken, then. And how ironic, I commented on his highlight reel just 2 days back and he lands in Seattle.

Was kind of hoping he'd get a go at camp and maybe be assigned to AHL. Oh well, should be good for his development and it'll be nice to see him play more than 8 minutes a night. From Kometa to CHL.

Judging by the username you must've been following him for a while. Do you think its better for his development if he goes to the AHL or OHL?

50-50.. I think going from Extraliga (which I'm not saying is great) to CHL is a step back. Kulich didn't and he was drafted around similar age.

On the other hand, he should get a lot of minutes and get acquainted to the NA ice.

Just surprised it was decided before training camp. AHL he may have not got many points at all and might be great for his confidence to get scoring and running a PP.

I think this is exactly the case for a player who will benefit from a year in the canadian junior league. Get used to the hardness and hard work every shift..
