How do our Russian posters feel he compares to other recent prospects?

He seems to be a Swiss-Army knife type player with good size and skating and his productivity is also impressive. Am I crazy for thinking he may be a Top 20 prospect in the world, or even higher?

It's actually 24 assists, according to the KHL website.

For those who watch the games, Is Yurov the best player on the team, one out of a few, or a guy who has inflated numbers because he plays on such a good team?
I don't watch, but him having a 7 point lead on 2nd place and a 9 point lead on 3rd place with 4 fewer games played would be evidence of the former.
While the stats look great for Yurov, "one out of a few" (and here aside of Yurov I mean Zernov, Karpov, Mikhailis, Grebyonkin, Geraskin) would be a more accurate description.

I didn't watch a lot of his games, but in those games I watched he didn't dominate games the way Michkov usually does. But the thing about him he was very effective. Like it seems there is no Yurov in the game and then boom it's goal, and he scores or helps to score. But as I said I watched just a few of his games.

I still see that even if he isn't wearing the backpack and hasn't separated himself from "the few", he's in the upper end of that group, and while I wouldn't describe his game as gritty, there's not a complete lack of sandpaper like some other guys, as he's willing to do some of the dirty work when necessary. It's not a standout game he plays, but then he'll still score a couple points.

Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean domination or that he's clearly far and above the best player. Just that, in the spot that he's currently in, I wouldn't think that it would be an accident, unless he's shooting 50% or something, I guess.

He's at 14.3%, solid but nothing special.

Yurov is 18th in the KHL scoring race with just 14:52 TOI. For a perspective, Tsyplakov, some NHL teams going after who, has 1 less point in 3 more games with 17:50 TOI.

And btw he just scores another goal.

Does this improve , hurt or has no impact on the odds of him coming over to the NHL next season?

The article says the offer to Yurov is weird because Mikhailis with way worse stats gets 80M rubles so it doesn't look like MM wants Danila to stay that much.

Seems to me like he'd probably get more if he committed long term, but since they figure it's a one year thing at most, they're trying to call his bluff. They know he probably wants to stay another year, so they're lowballing him to try to capitalize on that desire. I wonder how much the offer from MMG would go up if it was a given that he wanted to leave and had a spot in the NHL waiting for him with NHL money for a whole season.

If Grebyonkin wants 50M, Yurov at the very least should get +10M more.

Doesn't sound like Grebyonkin is going to get 50M though either, probably for similar reasons? I don't blame MMG or any KHL team for not wanting to hand out big money to guys who are heading to the NHL shortly. Mikhailis isn't leaving.

Agreed, it Reads to me like they know he is leaving and they aren’t going to beg him to stay.

For the record, the main author of that article gives only 10% probability that Yurov isn't in the KHL next season.

I don't understand why Guerin isn't doing everything possible to get him over for next season.

He might just be doing that behind the scenes.
Then why pretend that he isn't in public? Wouldn't he want to convey, both to Yurov, the team, and the fans, that he is working hard to improve the team as much as possible, as soon as possible?

Seems like he is trying to portray himself as a guy who has it all under control, and doesn't need anyone. Kind of delusional for a team that has had a disastrous season on and off the ice.
