I could have sworn I just seen Mike Grier downtown Medicine Hat… maybe having a meeting with Cayden or Medicine Hat coaches?
The Mike Grier Rebuild Plan:

1. Convince Lindstrom to lie to other teams and say his injury means he’ll never play hockey again
2. Lindstrom falls to the Sharks at #14
3. He’s magically healed!

That’s a possibility… or meeting with Willie Desjardains to talk about both players …who knows but I’m about 90% sure it was him in a blue suit walking and in his phone…Mike was probably my favourite Oiler from the last 90s
Terrifyingly enough...he could also be meeting with Willie Desjardains about the sharks coaching vacancy

Like Glasses alluded to, I just listened to that specific podcast that came out today and there was no word about that. I'll listen again to be sure, it was right off the start of it they talked about Lindstrom.

Pronman and Wheeler were quite clear Lindstrom is viewed as a healthy player by teams now.

Anything to do with the spine can get complicated in a hurry, but in general, if you are talking about a young person who is otherwise healthy and has no other risk factors(he kinda does, being an athlete, but that aside..) then a disc can repair itself. Again, like most medical things, the devil is in the details. I would assume that his medical chart has been made available to teams.

Interestingly, the framing on the podcast suggested NHL teams are very positive about the injury and that he's climbing boards after knowing this...I thought it could be a recurring problem based on limited knowledge, NHL teams seem to think otherwise.
They must have rehab’d it really well and thoroughly then, plus Cayden must be really dedicated to PT, which is super impressive for an 18 year old. Perhaps I’m just overly leery because something like that happened to my younger brother in his early twenties and he’s never really recovered.

Just to be sure, "herniated disk" were the words used but yeah, reaction was positive.

Yeah, the key is a very good PT.

I've had multiple back injuries resulting in completely debilitating back spasms.

The last time it happened after I simply sneezed (i'm only 30yo fyi and workout most days of the week). I devoted 6 months with a very good PT after that (he trains world record-setting junior olympic weightlifters), realized how I didn't stabilize and strengthen my core correctly, and have been great (with normal good and bad days, mostly good) ever since.

Hockey is brutal on your core. Certainly hope he's got a great PT or this will most certainly be a recurring muscular issue for him.

Can someone summarize his injury?

Is it a herniated disk?

I can't tell if there is misinformation or misdirection out there.

I know in my fantasy league (yeah, yeah, laugh at me) he's on my DND list. Not taking that risk that high.
Agreed.

If Demidov is not there for us at 5, i rather take Sennecke, Iginla if i must or the "worst" scenario is a choice of likely top 2 defenseman.

What i wll NOT do with a 5th OA is take a kid that alresdy suffrred a serious back problem.
