So there is no Frondell on Team Sweden for the Hlinka tournament. Is he still injured or Sweden considers him too advanced for this?

Not read anything official, but he has been practising on ice for some time. Most recently with other prospects and a skills coach. I suspect that he is not 100% ready for game play. But maybe someone else has some deeper insight.

Cool jerseys. Kid looks built. Can’t tell about the skating from that clip or how the injury recovery may be affecting him (if at all).

Aside from just never being the most graceful or powerful skater, it seems everything else grades out to anywhere from above average to excellent, including the versatility, work habits and character.

What's his upside? Something like Lindholm/Suzuki/Horvat? Or does he look like a strong #1C on a contender?

Seems like he has a high floor for sure

I was wondering. Was rather underwhelming and only played two games at the tournament in Switzerland. Probably tried to come back too early.

Concerning.

Did he play since February? I don't think so...
I was referring to the impact the injury may have on the 2025 draft. If he is healthy and playing well come the new year that will be much better than the Lindstrom situation earlier this year. All bets are off, of course, if he isn't healthy the whole year or if the injury could have last consequences (again, like Lindstrom).

I wonder what knee surgery only takes 3-4 weeks to heal?

The one Novak Djokovic had?:D

Honestly, Frondell was hurt for months, then got hurt again after just a few minutes. I hope he's not rushed back once again. He should take his time now.
