Nobody has hit 130 points in the Q since 06. Hell, only one player has hit 120 in the past 5 years. I'd be shocked if Lafrenière hit 130 points, especially since he'll miss time for the WJC.
NHL 2018 had him having 96 assists and 43 goals in his draft year... also he was 4th overall in the draft.

Do you have a strawman you talk to.

Honest question here given some of your claims.

He has and still is for now the consensus #1 pick for the 20 draft for a reason.

It’s been stated by quite a few posters that he “isn’t elite at anything” and just very good at everything.

10 shots on goal, good lord. The Lafrenière steamroller is on.
Also good to see some of his teammates do well tonight. This hockey club is average at best.
Now imagine this guy with potent linemates.

Yep, he’s had very mediocre support the past two seasons. I’d love to see either Rimouski add and go for it this year or trade him to a contender to see what he can do with another elite scorer.

IMO last year, people often overstated how bad the Océanic would be without Lafrenière. They didn't have a lot of big prospects, especially offensively, but they had a number of solid older guys and were solid defensively.

But now many of these guys (D'Astous, Huntington, Lepage, Garneau, Mackinnon, Gagnon...) either graduated or had to leave, and the organization didn't do much to replace them. So now you have things like 16 year-old Belliveau having to replace 2019 Dman of the year D'Astous as the team's top offensive D. That's a bit odd to me; since this is likely Lafrenière's last season in the league, you'd think they'd make more of an effort to stock up for a championship run. Of course they'll have opportunities to do that later, but still...

Then again, they're having a great start to the season, so what the f*** do I know

He got ejected from the game tonight for verbal abuse against a referee. He's probably getting suspended one game.

Apparently, the league decided to let it go, since he's playing today.

Still he needs to cut this shit out. Yes he's young, but he's also the captain. He yaps to the refs a lot, and it's not the first time that he takes a bad penalty out of frustration.
