I dont really see that there's much to sort out. He is what he is an average inconsistent goalie.

I don’t think it’s that. Remember, he was mostly trash in the playoffs too. Nothing to do with arbitration.

Bad position to take for a guy under a 1 year deal. PO's that you got taken to arbitration and working under 1 year deal? Play lights out and when they want to re-sign at a better number you say "Go eeff yourself" and write your own ticket to a divisional rival. But pouting your way to a #2 role? OK

BTW I don't think it's a question of heart, I think he's a goalie that needs to work on his game. I think it's possible by December/January we have a 1A/1B situation. Lighten his game load for now and work hard with a coach. He's swimming out there

Trade him and go with Woll/Jones, use the money saved to upgrade the team. I said it last year and in the offseason, id even prefer Murray. Samsonov is no different than Campbell.

Samsonov is 51st in GAA and 58th in SV% presently.

Treliving taking him through the Arbitration process to get a 1 year discount is looking like a wise move as opposed to locking him up to multi year higher AAV deal.

You have to think he'll get the net on Thursday, hopefully he makes the most of it.

I think he is finished. His playoff record is 5 and 9. This franchise cant take the chance of starting him in the playoffs.
