I don't think they played well but it was a good game for them, battling back when they were down 2 goals to get a point is something to take pride in. Vancouver was ass much of the game and we didn't capitalize. Get this team some help for the love of God Adams.

Ugh, I feel dirty that I agree with Mike Harrington about today's game and the complaining about Cozens.

What was so infuriating about the game was the fact that they only decided to go to the net in the last 10 minutes. If they do that the whole game they win easily. Why were they seemingly refusing to do what you MUST do to win games until the end?

Probably because they are still the youngest team in the league.

Get a clean 2 points tonight and we won't have to look back on these past 2 games with a ton of regret.
We went 4-1 without Tage Thompson while getting outplayed in 3 of those games. We outplayed our opponents the last 2 games but went 0-1-1. You don't always win the games you deserve to, and conversely you don't always lose the games you deserve to either.
We're right about where most people expected us. Pacing somewhere between 85-94 points. What we didn't expect was that the Atlantic/East would all be so mid. There's 8 teams all within +2 or -2 points of us right now.

Passing and zone exits were really sloppy - especially in the first half of the game. Turkey hangover or something. I think Tage also overdid it at the buffet. He was not on his A game. He had a few good chances but did not look dangerous when it came time to finish. Dahlin also looked a bit off.
Hat tip to Lindy for leaving Cozens in after that bone-headed 4-minute penalty. Granted, the refs were absolute dog sh** yesterday, so he probably didn't deserve the extra 2, but I was sure he'd be stapled to the bench the rest of the game.
Benson stood out to me once again. I just love his game. Tuch also. Kulich still looks like he's staying. Quinn continues to look better and better every game. I was surprised to see his advanced stats after the game were not great. Part of that was due to being on the ice for the OT goal. I haven't gone back to watch it again, but I don't think that was on him. If Quinn, Cozens and Kulich can begin to pop off, this team can go on a roll.
They definitely could have won that one, so it's frustrating, but I love that they came back from being down 2. I really hope they trounce the Isles tonight - but they never do.

Everyone's sick of that explanation, but that doesn't mean it's false.
His defensive play, specifically back checking, has shocked me. I didn't realize quite how committed he is to that aspect of the game. Certainly makes the "He's just V.O." arguments look foolish.

100% agreed. As someone who has thought "He's VO's replacement" to myself often......I am shocked with how dedicated he is in his own zone, and that he's not shy to throw his body around along the boards either.
