Well, not exactly, some other teams regularly make it to the playoffs.
That doesn't seem relevant to what you originally stated "tough schedule and no margin for error". Right now there are only 4 teams, in the league, that are more than 5 points out of the playoffs. Everybody has a tough schedule and a thing margin of error.

Something is missing, cant you see this ? Sabres is handing away W . 1-1 goal was just sloppiness. Vancouver wasnt that great Either But sabres just is missing something. Vancouver goalie was very good . Louk need to take the next step soon

We dont have any Miller or hasek that saves us , so the players need to step up
They are lacking a 2C or top 6 forward.

No, I also said about experience, we don't have it. Also about the safety margin of this team. We are not favorites in the playoffs, almost always.

1 out of 4 points is disappointing considering that they played well enough to win both.

Last few seasons, they don't come back after going down 2 in the 3rd. That's progress.

Lukk was solid again. No complaints there.

Adams needs to make a move NOW for a top 6 forward.
He figures out the obvious when its already too late.
His roster assessment & building skills are sub par.
Top6 F & Top4 capeable RD.

He made the moves he made and it created holes on the roster which he wasn't able to fix in the off season.

Now we have to rely on Joker with Power.
And Bryson with Clifton.
Sammy could be cooked already so I won't count him the way that he was playing.
Good to have Power who is still learning with a D that is questionable at defending and makes constant stupid unforced turnovers.
Its time to move on from Joker like 2 off seasons ago.

He will be hard pressed to make any move right now but he is failing for years to make the necessary adjustments because he is a noob GM.

We don't have any games in hand, Lightning still have a game in hand, if you look at the bigger picture, the top of the division is distancing themselves meanwhile we are one loss away from being back at 500, last place Montreal is two wins away from being tied with the Sabres.

We need to be better to make it.

Does anyone have a mop? The Whiner Line is leaking.

So the Sabres' story this year seems to be:

Team predicted to be a playoff bubble team plays like a team expected to be in the race for a playoff spot and gets results commensurate with those of a team sitting at the edge of the playoffs. If the rest of the season plays out this way, they have about a coin flip's chance of making the playoffs, which would be the best result they've had in over a decade.

And the stress of everything going almost exactly as expected is driving the fan base to the edge of hysterics, with the kind of wailing and gnashing of teeth usually only seen in the Book of Revelations (or an H.P. Lovecraft short story).

This might be a little meta, but it's looking like the social media zeitgeist needs an enema.

I was entertained by the game. Would have preferred Tage bury that goal in OT, but nevertheless they played an even game. Two behind Tampa. One behind Boston and NYR. December looks big. I'm excited.
