Pettersson is overrated he's been internationally.

Good on big ice in various Swedish leagues but don't see it translating to the NHL

Nah, he's too talented to be stopped by ice surface. Give him a full season or two to re-adjust and he'll be controlling entire shifts.

how did Erik Karrlsson look today? I mean Liljegren, my apologies.
Oilers fan takes shot at Pettersson on his ability to translate, immediately deflects to Leafs prospect. Because, I highly doubt you are sincere in actually wanting to hear about him.

He looked fine, took a stupid retaliatory penalty, after earlier getting his in the face with an elbow or a stick (couldn't see it was behind the play and commented on by the announcers) earlier in the period. Dahlin, Brannstrom, and Liljegren were all fine. Not exceptional, but not bad. Dahlin probably was the most notable, partially for a big hip check he laid, and partially for getting hit hard himself.

Don’t even bother with a response. If he scores a hattrick it’s just an exhibition game, and if he’s held scoreless his play won’t translate

Needless to say, I can’t understand how anyone can write Elias or at this point, he has a ton of hockey in him, but he wasn’t good in the WJC last year and was definitely not good at all in the WJSS this summer.

Being a bit cautious about how he will translate to the NHL is definitely healthy. It can take time. Remember that you guys got Näslund more or less for free from Pittsburgh. It can take both 1 and 2 years as well as 5-6 years for a kid to get ready. The potential is certainly there and I think he will become a really good player. But it could certainly take time.
