Not a lot of slot chances so far for Canada. Smells like an early Russian 3rd period goal.

Canada had some serious pressure in the mid second period, but Russia had the two best chances of the period.

Chinakhov looks good for Russia, our bottom pairings are concerning. Askarov is very solid.

Dach tries too much individually, Byfield has not been very impressive so far. McMichael looks the best for Canada

Pretty even game back and forth action. Both teams had good chances.

Byfield is due for a big goal or assist. He’s been great, this is the way he needs to play. I’m very pleased to see that from him because he’s a completely different player when he’s imposing his will like that.

I’d separate Byram and Drysdale.

I don’t agree with this. Canada looked better for the mid part of the period but there wasn’t many grade A scoring chances, Russia was better towards the end of the period
