Put him and Scheifele on McDavids wing. If that wasn't an argument in favour of it, I don't know what is.

Good on Matthews, like the kid even more now. Future captain for the Leafs.
 
Ghost has not been good. His season could be a fluke. I've liked Parayko more than Ghost so far.

Wouldn't have the same hate if he fought his own battle. Instead Nurse had to fight an AHL goon afterwards, Nurse gladly obliged and didn't want anyone else fighting his battles. Wouldn't let Gazdic handle it for him.

Polak will get his. He didn't learn his lesson. If not Nurse, then Kassian, Lucic, or Maroon can take care of it first time we play him.

That won't go unanswered. Hitting McDavid from behind will have consequences.

It wasn't really behind imo, more of a late unwarranted hit. Still not needed in the last exhibition game before the real tournament begins.
 
I have a feeling that the elite dmen to come out in 2005-2010 will end up having a far better career than the guys to debut from 2011-2016.

Don't think it was a fluke, and its preseason so take it easy on the absolutes. I do think his production will fall back down to reality a little and his shooting % was abnormally high, but I think he's going to have a good offensive season.

Matthews and Scheif play the perfect style to matchup. Both are strong on the boards and are strong on the puck. Good on the forecheck, plus big bodies. It's a perfect matchup.

its wasnt even from behind... Matthews pushing him on top of McD looked worse.
