"I talked to Zdeno Chara today, and he said that he and fellow freak size Slovakian Boris Valabik competed in a Bryan McCabe tossing competition"

Line juggling so far. Thornton is with St. Louis and Lemieux, and Richards is with Maltby and Doan.

EDIT---Richards is back with Iginla and Gagne.

So far, who are the most improved players from the last game?
Anyone have any opinions? I'll say St. Louis and Thornton. Also Gagne.

I know Gagne didn't play last game, but he's flying out there. He's played well with Sakic and Iginla, well with Richards and Iginla, and he's very versatile. He could play on a scoring line or checking line, I really don't understand why people want him scratched.

...where's that Charpentier (sp.) kid sit w/ the caps right now?
Charpentier never really was in long-term plans. After Caps backup Craig Billington retired, Charpentier came in for a brief spell, but he's battled chronic arthritis, and I'm not sure he's going to play any longer. The Capitals have given him his release, and had Matthew Yeats play out the string late in the season as Kolzig's backup.

For next year, it's thought to be Ouellet and Daigneault platooning in Portland for the duration of the lockout, then Ouellet in the NHL as the backup and Daigneault as the Pirates' starter once NHL play resumes. Stana is locked into a season-long SEL contract for Södertälje, regardless of lockout. Should be a good experience for him.

4 on 3 ... this can be done!

EDIT: Or not...

Too much passing and pausing, and not enough shooting!

Commentators say Thornton and Iginla have had their best games so far!
