I hope so. I've heard they've had a hard time selling tickets to the games in Montreal. I kind of prefer these tournaments being held in the smaller cities or the ones without NHL teams. I think it creates a better draw and atmosphere.

I believe Montreal is known more as a Habs city than as a hockey city.

I hope so. I've heard they've had a hard time selling tickets to the games in Montreal. I kind of prefer these tournaments being held in the smaller cities or the ones without NHL teams. I think it creates a better draw and atmosphere.

I wish it would come back to Halifax but sadly it will always go to the larger Canadian markets now that the IIHF realizes how much money it can make here.

I was in Halifax last year - it was honestly one of the best places I can remember visiting, absolutely loved it. Going to a juniors tourney there would be top of my list.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it out east. I was just a kid when we hosted but the atmosphere was unreal.

Oh really? That sucks. I wonder how bad it is. I would hope it's sold out, but even if it were to hit 15000+, that's a sell out in Saskatoon. I hope it isn't worse yet though.

Nonetheless, it's clear this doesn't do great in Montreal, so I hope they learn from this and not bring it back there after 2017.
