Nervous but excited to see Carey play....please stay healthy for the love of god. That being said I don't want to see any player from any team get injured in this tournament.

Fall is in the air and hockey is back, it's s great feeling.
 
I wish Fall was in the air on the east coast. Yet another 90+ degree day in this summer from hell.

People can't look past stats, but then ignore advanced stats. For a single one game elimination I agree Quick is the best in the league.

The ultimate snub to not select him in May.
But he would've bowed out anyway due to injury(hand surgery).
As a Pen fan, i'm totally fine with him not playing for USA's incompetent management.
 
Not inviting Kessel is in the same ballpark as MÃ¥rts not inviting Victor Hedman to the last Olympics.

Unfortunately, the team also annoys Americans that want to see the best possible team on the ice. Not a bunch of muckers and grinders.

Bobby Ryan/Kyle Okposo - Tyler Johnson - Phil Kessel

Over any line USA will ice tonight aside from whichever one Kane is on.

How many times does it need to be said? The U.S. brass was not going for the best team on paper. Maybe their overthought it, but there was some clear thought into how the team was constructed and what the objective is. Will it work out? Unknown. I also have to laugh at the people suggesting the likes of Okposo, Ryan, and Yandle should be on this team. For such posters-do you have any clue what what USA Hockey thinks of these players? Clue: not much.

You're missing the point. People think USA hockey is incompetent because they think so little of such quality players, while taking far less talented guys.

You're just upset that Stone didn't make the team.

Team Canada values centers, and centers can play the wings just fine, especially these centers.

People whined about how the last team Canada was assembled, and it turned out to be the most dominant team of all time lol.

Theses are debatable... Kessel, T.Johnsson and Faulk are no brainers.

At least they were kind enough to put you in an easy pool so you would get out. Good luck after that

I would have those players on the team-no doubt. All I'm saying is I understand the mindset behind how the team was created. Whether it will prove successful or not is unknown. For the record I think USA Hockey overthought this one. I think Team Canada did as well but they have better depth.

Makes sense with the players they chose. Their offense won't stack up to Canada's or Russia's even with the guys they left off. It's best for them to have the gritty two way guys on there.
