Awesome game. They're building up the rivalry for the real thing later on as well. As with the rest of the pre-tourney match-ups. Probably a smart move with these choice of games before it all starts.

Like Buccigross stated, USA will need a Mike Richter like performance in this tournament, and through two periods it's exactly what Quick has given them. Hopefully it persists throughout the rest of the tournament.

As dirty as that hit was, I must admit, I really do enjoy the hatred that is brewing between both teams. I want to see the same level of intensity as the '96 World Cup.

They are both better than Kesler, Backes and Dubinsky, so there's no reason to argue over who's better.

Yet those three players physicality has somewhat rattled the Canadian squad and has the Americans leading.
