Thought Ekblad, Rielly had a good first period. Creating a lot of chances jumping in the play.

Think all the forward lines were bringing something to the table too, considering the score and the shots on net.

Was watching Matthews a bit closer and thought he created chances and created good plays whenever he was on the ice. Won puck battles and was aggressive like he was in the 1st period last game. Hope he doesn't lose momentum like he did last game though.

Team NA needs to sit back a bit and let Gibson take some shots to stay in the game.

Well Europe sucks but you can't really blame the individual players. It's just a really weak roster. Can't judge NA by this either. Dominating a bad team doesn't tell you much about how they'll fare against real competition.

The entire team took their foot off the gas in that game because of the score, wouldn't surprise me if that happens again today.

Wait, so.. One group includes Russia, Sweden, Finland and Team NA? That is a brutal group.

There are great players on Team Europe and it is a shame to see them humiliated.

I think this is why you can't put McDavid and Gaudreau together one puck too little time.

Matthews been doing awesome. Was sort of iffy before the assist with a couple offensive giveaways, but once he got loose and comfortable, he's been money with the puck.

Well let's be honest here, the assist was him getting the puck poked out of his stick by the defenseman and it happening to bounce to Ekblad.

Scary thought in the back of my mind....

What if Europe is actually a decent team and its team NA that is an absolute monster this tourney.

Good question. Is NA that good or Europe that bad?

The Euro defence just looks old, slow, and tired. When they get possession in their zone someone's on them immediately, forcing a loose puck, and NA inevitably regains. Scary.

I don't see any answers for Europe. Still 2 periods to go. I love watching these kids play, but can't help but feel bad for the Euros.

Who is the opponent for NA in the third exhibition game?

Czechs. I'm disspointed they gave them the 2 weakest teams(on paper) in their 3 exhibition games. I wish they had a really tough opponent before the tournament starts
