It was one guy and then the whole thread piles on Leafs fans and Rielly for 4-5 pages. It's ridiculous.

He was arguably the best dman at the world championships when he was the backbone of the D that won the gold.

You can insist on calling him a very good or elite number 2 but its easier to just call him a number 1.

Or we can call him what he is, a number 2.
 
I don't like McDavid and Gaudreau together. McDavid likes the puck and wants to use his speed at full flight while Gaudreau likes to have the puck and slow the play down.
 
McDavid and Eichel look good together and I'm a fan of the Nuge + Mooseheads line. Brandon Saad to me has been pretty quiet through 4 periods but I'm not entirely sure where he should slot into the lineup. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the 1st line to hang around the net.
 
Ugh, people starting to say players are looking invisible or blah, blah, blah. Watch the game, their opponent is completely outclassed and it's a team of all-stars. No one is going to have to do as much as they usually would on a team like NA. At this point, they are just going through the motions.
 
Matthews has this old school style of play, with modern day hands. It's cool to watch.

I'm not liking Eichel on that first line. He seems like the player to bring the puck past the blue line then dictate the pace from there.

Nuge complements the Halifax wingers very well. Just defend and let them do their thing all while chipping in with his board play.
 
After seeing this Team Europe and being as this tournament was going to use gimmicks you know what i wish they wold have done instead?.

Gone full retro and made a re-united Czechoslovakian team.

That would have been interesting.
