Celebrating a losing season after winning the Cup the previous year, no wonder Lombardi was so pissed.

Oh come on. It was a bad season but they can still have fun. They have lives away from hockey and are friends away from the game as well. Man, some of you guys expect to much. If your business has an off year should you and your co-workers never celebrate anything and go hide in shame?

Let's forget about the drugs and look at this with some perspective. Why do people go to Vegas (other than conventions)? To blow off steam. To flush the emotional toilet.

This season had to be really tough on them. They were in critical condition in December, went on that run and then ran out of gas. I think the majority of this board would either do a Vegas trip or go to the other end of the spectrum and go camping after something as emotionally draining as that.

The drugs, yeah that isn't good.

Agreed 100%. Some here seem to think the players should have no lives or personal freedom it seems.

We have had players criticized for fishing too much, criticized for going to Vegas, criticized for choosing to represent their countries at the WC's, heck we have had some players criticized for having children.

Obviously what Stoll did in Vegas was stupid, immature and criminal. Criticize him for that, don't criticize the guys for taking a vacation after a grueling season and three long playoff runs before that.
