This reads like a copypasta.Hold on, you’re allowed to sign actual NHL players to fill out your lineup instead of relying on loser prospects that your delusional scouts put their faith in? That’s news to Doug Wilson.

He literally had Leonard, Gambrell, Donato, Dahlen, Barabanov, and Gregor in the top nine for extended stretches of the last two seasons.Bonino and Cogiliano not being NHL-caliber players is news to me. Only two years of DW doing that sticks out to me, the 2014-2015 tank year and the 219-2020 season, which had a cap crunch and other bigger issues. Wilson also did not have the advantage of a bunch of depth players not being qualified due to multiple seasons of the cap being flat.
Barabanov, Gregor (the 2nd time), and Balcers worked. He literally had Leonard, Gambrell, Donato, Dahlen, Barabanov, and Gregor in the top nine for extended stretches of the last two seasons.
Okay Donato wasn’t a good example but the rest (not to mention Yurtaikin and Bergmann from the season before that) were all totally unproven prospects slotted into key roles. An insane way to run a team that’s not overtly tanking.Barabanov, Gregor (the 2nd time), and Balcers worked.
Donato was DW putting faith in an established NHLer, and Donato regressed.
The thrust of your argument is correct, but the examples you use...it comes off as reaching.

Not quite. Donskoi had some success overseas. I’m totally fine with this as he’s a good buy low option that might still have some upside.Donskoi was a similar type signing, no?
He was an RFA who was not qualified by Detroit, and then not qualified by Winnipeg (who finished 8 points from a wild card spot). Sheng is suggesting the fact it's a 2-way deal and the logjam of bottom six forwards that this is an AHL signing.Hold on, you’re allowed to sign actual NHL players to fill out your lineup instead of relying on loser prospects that your delusional scouts put their faith in? Spot onAwesome that we're finally signing real NHL players like Svechnikov who hit a new career high of 19 points in 72 games last year, his 5th season in the league
We can't waste a roster spot on a washout like Dahlen who put up 22 points in 61 games as a rookie, that would be stupid
No he didn't. Andrei is only 6'2", 185.Spot on. Does anybody have the strength to tell MG he got the wrong Svech brother. Evgenii sucks.
LOL, my bad!No he didn't. Andrei is only 6'2", 185.
Can we sign the OTHER Sebastian Aho too while we're at it?
