Has the NHL pushed the '20-'21 start back to Feb. already?

No, I'm just reading between the lines. Both the AHL and the OHL (although without contact, and that will never work and is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard) have stated that early Feb. is a tentative start date, although the entire situation remains fluid.

My educated guess is that the NHL will aim for Feb. as well. Clearly these leagues have a reason that they are choosing early Feb, so my guess is the NHL is aiming for then as well, but doesn't want to make it public until they are satisfied that Feb. is a realistic possibility.

A big thank you to everybody posting clips and updates. It's great to hear how well several kids are doing. Sounds like there could be a major infusion of offense in the next few years...

...but that I might very well end up rocking a Seider jersey.

Lindström is probably injured. No official info but he wasn't in the lineup today and ice time data from their previous game indicates he left mid-game.

As for other Swedes, Niederbach had a goal and assist in the U20's.

Is this break in the SHL planned or a response to illnesses recently? No SHL games until Tuesday the 10th.

Planned, but good timing due to the Corona going around :)

There are a couple of breaks like this to allow the national teams to go on tournaments/camps in order to prepare for the different championships.

Seems like our prospects are really injury prone. So far none of it sounds serious, but it's not a good trend.

Don't think they are any more injury prone than any other teams prospects.

It just feels that way because you are having all this information. More information than ever. And probably won't watch other team prospects as closely?

How does Theodor Niederbach compare to Karl Henriksson? Both had similar draft year position, production, and similar D+1 production in J20.

EDIT: Also looking up this Oskar Olausson kid. Pretty good J20 numbers this year and got a call up to the big team in HV71. What kind of player is he, and what is his current draft ranking looking like so far? 1st round talent or 2nd round to later?

Man, Theo might get a legit chance to get some major play in the WJC, which is awesome.

Weird they originally didnt invite him to their camp and now hes playing on PP1. I think hes good enough that he could make it based on camp performance but something just seems weird about it. I'm not evensure hes gonna make the team

Henriksson is the "Rasmussen" on that line. Hard-working defensive center, goes to net-front.

Niederbach is totally different than him.

Nice to see Albert Johansson as the 1st pair skill defenceman, paired with Grans.

Grewe as 4th line rat, Gustav Berglund as 8th depth defenceman.

Henriksson is only 5'9".

But if I'm reading into this correctly, Niederbach is much more skilled than Henriksson at the same age.

Also, I did some digging on this Olausson kid. Incredibly quick feet, very good hands. I'm not sure where he'll go in the draft but I'm kind of hoping he falls to us in the 2nd, or that we can convert 2 of our 2nds into a late first rounder to get him.

Look at the wheels on that last goal.

For those of you who are analytically inclined, both Raymond and Bromé seems to be doing well when it comes to expected goals.

In the article linked below, a journalist takes a look at the "expected goals for" for each line playing in the SHL, and lists the top 10 lines. The Data comes from the software SportLogIQ.

Raymond's line is listed as the 6th best (1.27 xGF/games played, wierd to divide it by games played...), and Bromé's initial line is listed as the 2nd best (1.4 xGF/games played).

De är SHL:s bästa kedjor – enligt den avancerade statistiken

Could I find xGA from somewhere too, to know how good they are defensively?

Unfortunately not, unless a journalist posts it :). The software definitely has that information, but the data is only available to the teams / journalists.

What if someone emailed the journalist(s) & asked for the info via a link? That way they get site traffic/impressions/possible conversions on any subscriptions and/or merchandise they offer.

Why has Seider only played 5 games? I know he had the injury scare, but he isn't listed as injured on EP? Veleno has only played 7 of his teams games as well?

Seider was initially loaned to Mannheim in DEL, but since they pushed their starting date back, Detroit loaned him to Rögle instead.

Rögle had already played a few games before this happened.
Since Seider joined Rögle, he has played all games.

Same thing goes for Veleno, he joined Malmö after their season had already started.

The SHL is also on a 10 day planned break. No games until Nov. 10th.
