Lucas has no chance of scoring unless he creates it himself. His linemates are pretty useless at generating any sort of offense.

And Jan Mursak being idiot is a big factor of that problem.

But Raymond is outplaying Holtz badly now on shooting sector. Not bad. The playmaker does not disappear anywhere from his natural habits.

Good game by Berggren, didn't show on the scoresheet but he makes so many skilled plays out there and good setups for teammates.

It's funny how the stats will equalize.

Now he is having good games, but not on the stat sheet. Just while ago he wasn't having so good games, but ended on the stat sheet. Everything goes right with bigger sample size.

Mursak doesn't seem to have any vision at all. Strong skater and hard to knock off the puck, but doesn't see his options or draw attention for the purpose of opening up space for his linemates. I've been liking Sundstrom, would be nice to see him play on a line with Raymond. So far it has been nothing but Mursak and Hjalmarsson for weeks.

I'll get on this train. Reminds me more of this one:

EDIT: To actually say something about Raymond. I like Raymond.

Yeah. I'm not sure why exactly that particular Carolina clip replayed in my head but is what it is.

Short profile about Wallinder on The Athletic (Paywall):

“(Growing up), because of his capacity, he could play exactly like he wanted,” Styf said. “So he didn’t really have to listen and develop. But now, the last year, he has (had) to do it. So he’s starting to realize it, and … over the summer and spring, I see that he’s really taken it in and (is) understanding it.”

William Wallinder has all the tools as he begins his journey to the Red Wings

There aren't any true farm affiliations in Sweden. But SHL teams loans players to HockeyAllsvenskan to have them play in bigger roles.

In regard to SHL-HockeyAllsvenskan- Is this still how it works?
  • Bottom 2 SHL teams will play a best of 7 game series where whoever loses gets relegated HockeyAllsvenskan
  • HockeyAllsvenskan play a playoff tournament where winner gets promoted to the SHL
Has a player even been loaned to a HockeyAllsvenskan team that gets promoted to the SHL by the end of season? In that case, what happens to the player? They stay on the newly promoted team or do they go back to their original team?

European hockey works just like soccer over there. Players on big teams get loaned to smaller teams, often times the league below. The worst teams in the top tier of a national league risk relegation, while the best team of the tier below play for promotion for the following season.

Yes, it's actually pretty common for the best teams in the 2nd tier to have loanees from the top division make an impact and help them get promoted.

Yeah, that's how it works. It's actually the first year with that system. Before this season teams from Allsvenskan had to beat SHL teams in Bo7 to get promoted.

What happens to the player depends on his contract. If he's signed with the SHL team over the next season he goes back to them, if he's on an expiring contract he's free to sign with whatever team he wants. The player is not locked to the team because they got promoted.

Can Brome come to the Wings in February when the season starts, or is he in Sweden for the duration of their season?

Does anyone know?

Brome is able to play in the NHL as soon as it opens up.

What Sirloin said is true for 99% of the cases, but Brome is an exception to the rule.

Brome is technically not on loan (as far as the SHL is concerned) because he still has a contract with Örebro.

Mursak is synonymous with the end of an era. He was the silver lining....of a dark cloud.
