What has happened to Elliot Friedman? He has become a hack, palm reader/fortune teller

Just talking for the sake of talking but actually giving no information. He is simply living off of people who are prone to clickbate content.

Its clear that the Vancouver ship is pretty tight lipped....

1. No leaks about the JT Miller incident before Miller took the personal leave
2. No leaks about injuries to Pettersson and Hughes before they both did not come back to play after the Christmas break.

Canucks reporters reporting today that the canucks aren't serious about trading petey.
As they shouldn’t be. I think Miller will be gone in the next 2-3 weeks and Pettersson’s play down the stretch will determine which direction they go with Pettersson. If some team blows them away with an offer that may force their hands.

Pettersson did an interview today pretty much saying he will shut down all the noise by performing and that he wants to be in Vancouver which is why he signed there long term.....

My take on it is that maybe Canucks management were telling teams that they are willing to trade one of Miller or Pettersson but really they are only willing to trade Miller.

By saying they are also willing to choose Miller over Pettersson gives more value to Miller.

If teams knew they were only willing to trade Miller then they'd have the upper hand.

Allvin however has probably been saying that they will take the best offer on one of Miller or Pettersson which will force Miller offers to not only beat other Miller offers but to also beat offers on Pettersson.

Smart tactic.

Miller is almost certainly dealt. It's clear he's worn out his welcome and the room has a black cloud hanging over it. The only reason this didn't happen last season is because they were winning. This is the third team in his career to move on because his attitude is dogshit and he frequently oversteps his own role to criticize his teammates.

The Pettersson noise is just a smokescreen to improve their bargaining position for a Miller trade. I wonder if they've gone to Pettersson and his agent behind the scenes and said "hey, don't put stock into whatever we're saying about you publicly right now, it's all for show. You're our guy long term." That would make sense as to why Allvin's comments the other day were so unnecessarily blunt.

Whether it's Friedman, or Dreger, these guys once they think they know all that and more, they become so full of themselves....

So basically canucks trying to use the Media as Bait for other organizations to raise the bidding war on both star players.

Also trying to light a fire under Petey especially to play better.

Which means JT Miller is as good as gone in the offseason honestly.

If they do indeed move him, he'll leave behind a complicated legacy. Forever a very polarizing player. Even moreso than someone like Kesler.

When he was good, he was one of the best Canuck forwards in team history and a warrior that single-handedly won games.

When he has bad, he was really f***ing bad. And what's worse, he drove a wedge into what could have been a promising core to compete for several seasons instead of just one.

Word on the street is that Miller came home one day and his wife was gone with the kids and thus those were the reasons for his absences. While I certainly can't verify this I doubt his absence this year had anything to do with issues with teammates.

As for his apparent beef with Pettersson there is obviously something there - most likely a clash of attitudes. Miller is a very fiery guy and likely isn't afraid to express his opinion if a teammate isn't pulling their weight or practicing the way a pro should. Petey is the exact opposite - a millenial who isn't used to being called on his shit and would rather be left alone. Does this mean they can't be teammates? Not at all..........teammates don't have to love each other.......and more than likely a lot of this is media fueled.

I'd bet my left testicle that there's little to no chance Petey gets traded and if anyone goes it will be Miller. We aren't gonna get even value back for him as he will for sure be the best player in any trade.

Even so my preference is that they find a way to work it out. Our biggest issues as of late are that our Defense is league worst without Hughes and Hronek. Everyone is clamoring for a trade but we have a top 4 RHD (Willander) ready to jump in at the end of the year - and i think once he joins and the others get healthy our team outlook is drastically different than it is currently.

Miller is also a millennial.

And I feel bad for your left testicle already.

I think this idea that Canucks management is Jedi mind tricking all the other GMs is insane.

They probably didn't like the offers for EP they were getting because he is the 5th highest paid guy in the game and isn't close to that in value.

Its actually interesting how much Miller was able to change his image in Vancouver. I guess winning temporarily swayed things last year for Miller.

Before that, especially in the Covid season, Vancouver fans were tired of Miller's on ice tantrums, lazyness etc...

all of a sudden they start winning last year, and Miller becomes an "old school leader" with snarl and and bite.

If one is willing to bet their left testicle on this, its just a matter of time they will bet it on something they get wrong.

I only bet on sure things........No way Petey is getting moved. Management uses the media at times to motivate him - just like last year they got him to sign by telling him that if he didn't they would seriously look at moving him. Alvin's recent speach was this years version of that.

Honestly would happily take this JT Miller vs the one we've seen the past 10 games, he's floating out there right now not engaged at all.

Poor millennials having it so rough, it puts the 18 year olds going to war against Germany 1940s to shame.

Nobody is saying that, and you act as if you were in the trenches with them instead of buying your first house on a single income for a dozen raspberries.

The one that didn't get enough attention was this last playoff run where he verbally berated Joshua for not getting the puck in deep.

Miller is not a coach. He has no right to take it upon himself to police his teammates. Someone should have stepped in to tell him to shut the f*** up.

Oh my bad, if I wasn't there its not allowed to be talked about. Damn those historians and their bravado.

No question JT is super competitive but I think he is a bit of a jerk as well. Tough guy to play with for sure. Addition by subtraction imo. He hasn’t looked all that good either since returning.

If someone has been out of the country for a few months is there any way someone can accurately summarize why Miller and Petterson are feuding to such a degree that one of them needs to be traded?

Seems like Miller has gotten on everyones case's over the years, but this is the first time that a player seemingly cannot be his teammate. Is Petterson that soft? Did something else happen like Miller slept with his girlfriend?

Teammates argue all the time,. What in the heck happened that we've reached Defcon 2 between this 2 specifically?
