JT Miller is probably going east.
Toronto should be trying to get Miller for Marner.
It's a win win for both teams.
Vancouver would extend Marner.
With what cap space…marner would command 5 million more then miller. Your better off trading miller for picks and wait to sign s9meone for no assets given up July 1.

Something has to give in Vancouver. They are 3-3-4 in the last ten games. Those 4 loser pts is saving their asses right now. Not dogpiling on the Canucks but just how much of a problem do they have in the dressing room.
Injuries are a bigger issue than locker room concerns. The team hasn’t played a single game this season with the starting roster all available.

Oilers have been missing Kane this year and that is why they had to go out and waste money on Skinner. Kane is key piece to the oilers top 6(love or hate him) his physical nature has been missed

This is an extremely difficult decision because Miller is the heart of the team, while Pettersson is their 1C.

I say trade Miller because it's less complicated. I say to the Rangers for 1st, Braden Schneider and Alexis Lafreniere. I see Pettersson being such a good fit for the Canucks in the long-run. Also, Hughes can step up to not just be the soul but heard of the team. And I see Lafreniere being a good fit on a line with Pettersson and Boeser. I think the Rangers aren't a team to develop CHL players, I think if Lafreniere was to play for the Canucks he'd bounce back similar to how Kaapo Kakko is doing with the Kraken.

Don’t think NYR are trading Schneider, they like him way too much. Laf, I can see if it’s the right deal.

Rangers MIGHT consider trading Laf for Miller but not sure with the whole package. Mainly cause of Laf being younger than Miller.

Honestly, guys, I think I might just lock the thread.

It was fun while it lasted, but I think it’s time

In season trades like this are too hard with the cap. Its not happening until the off season.

Hughes and Pettersen are untouchable.

Miller is untradeable.

No big deal, but the Canucks are stuck with what they have, and that's not such a bad thing.

As long as they aren't sleeping with each other's wives, the players will eventually figure it out. They don't really have to like each other -- but just play hockey together. Sometimes a bit of animosity turns up the performance level.

Kane’s a shell of his former self and not really a physical player anymore. He was a very average middle 6 player. I wouldn’t compare him to losing your #1G, #1C, #2C, #1D and #2D. He’s more like losing Dakota Joshua

Aren’t these two players a bit tone deaf defensively? Not too sure Tocchet would want them.
At this point it might not be clear how good they are defensively. Tocchet and his staff are almost certainly better at coaching D and demanding commitment, than any coaching either player has received in Buffalo (Byram received better coaching in Colorado, but he was/is still real young). They might be more capable than has been coached into and demanded of them thus far, and certainly this year.

He said nothing about the Oilers. Why are you making this about the Oilers by shoe-horning them into this?

Hey! You’re shoe-horning the Oilers!
