Does anyone know why in the world Scuderi is still playing? For an accomplished NHLer, it had to be a tough pill to swallow to be playing in the minors at this stage of his career. Is he desperate for money?

He rarely ever plays. I don't even think he goes to every practice.

He's collecting $2.5MM to just chill in SoCal until he can move back East. Has three teams paying his salary as well.

Kings should of been on a PP for Dowd having his stick held before that last goal was scored but the refs just wanted to get out of there like the fans apparently did 40 minutes prior.

Dust me off the next time they go on a losing streak and I'll take care of it. I'm the nuclear option though: can't overuse it. Break in case of emergency.

He seems to have an agreement where if he wants to play in a game, he can, if not, that's ok too. He seems like a smart enough guy, he has to know he's been on his last leg for a while. Maybe the Kings even have a standing offer to be a coach in the future or something like that, who knows. He's still getting those paychecks, so why retire if you have an active contract? He's got a $2.5m salary this year, regardless of where he plays. You don't just throw that away.

There Olympic Doughty, playoff Doughty, and regular season Doughty. He's been a little less than his normal regular season version. Not just the constant slap shots that get blocked, but those little plays he makes in the d-zone, or not getting hit behind the net, it hasn't been the same this year.
