Kane's proving to still be just as good as he's ever been, if he keeps this up what do you guys think his next deal will look like. Will he get term or will every team be hesitant to go longer than 1-2 years?

Given his history, I just don’t see teams giving him term. Add to that he is in the wrong side of 30. Very good hockey player, just too much baggage.

Man.. he just turned 30 in August.. he's not old by any means. Also, you must be new to pro sports.. he'll get term, cash, and another chance. Those old dirtbag owners only care about winning and making money, and Kane helps them do both!

You'd think teams wouldn't be dumb enough to offer more than one year deals, but I'm sure someone will give him another big contract that he won't see through with said team.

As others have said you're looking at a 1 or 2 year deal unless someone really really wants him they'll beat out the rest by offering 3 years but realistically he's looking at 1-2 years given his locker room track record. No one ever doubted his skill as he's a good player but it says something when you wear out your welcome in 3 separate locker rooms usually in year 3 or 4.

I'd steer way clear of this guy. He's a perfect player on the ice, but I don't want the Flames touching players like this. Carolina seems to like this type.

Likely the next Vanek, keeps signing 1 year deals, unless Holland goes full Holland and gives him huge term

Imo he would opt for more money on short term, if there is any thought by GMs that he has some risk attached, so long term = low cash.

He seems like he'll last a long time too, physically. He'd like to gamble on himself (no pun intended)

There is absolutely no way a team gives him more than 2 years. Depending on how his on-ice performance for EDM is, my guess is a 1 year deal, somewhere between 5M (from a contender) and 8M (from a team that isn't spending to the cap)

Id imagine he will go to the highest bidder.. wont care what team and won't care if they are contenders or not.. he will want as much money as he can and won't care where...

I'd be terrified to give him anything more than 2 years.. maybe at 5ish per??? But I guarentee some team will pay up huge and outbid others
